We stayed there 2 night end of June 2012. It is a nice hotel clean and comfortable. Very good location close to Odéon subway and St Michel RER station. Staff gentle and helpful.

Stayed here for 5 days during a recent trip to Paris. it was a nice hotel. We stayed in a triple which was small for three people, but we managed. Amenities were fine. Bathroom was large. Clean linens and towels every day. TV with many channels. Great breakfast included - pastries, breads, yogurt, juices, coffees, cereals, etc. Wifi provided as...

We stayed here for 5 nights and found it very good value for money especially for Paris and the location. Staff were friendly and spoke good English, location was excellent - short stroll to St-Germain-des-Pres, Luxembourg Gardens. Whilst the room condition was a bit older I found it acceptable and clean enough, bathroom was good and looked like it had...

Here for just one night for business; my room was paid for so I can't comment on value for money. Good location near Odeon metro and right by the Odeon. Comfortable bed. Tiny bathroom with shower: shower slow to drain. Had been pleased at idea of free wifi but from where I was on the 3rd floor it was very...

We stayed 5 nights in April 2012. Rooms are an OK size for a city trip. The room was clean and beds are comfy; the bathroom could do with a more thoroughly clean though. The Staff is friendly. You'll get free wi-fi. The location is excellent, near the metro, with many Cafés, bars and restaurants close by. The hotel is...

We recently stayed at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. Starting with the arrangements they made for transportation to and from the hotel, the staff was accommodating in every way (recommendations for restaurants, directions, etc.) Our room, while basic, was comfortable, roomy and clean. The location was central and easily accessible to the metro. The rates were reasonable and a...

My husband and I stayed 2 nights and we were very pleased with this small charming hotel. Yes the rooms are small, but having been to Paris many times, the rooms are no smaller than other more expensive hotels. The room and bathroom was clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, minutes walk from...

I stayed at this hotel in June 2010 and will return in May 2012. 2010 was my first trip to Paris and I found the accomodations much nicer than I had expected. I had heard that rooms in Paris were tiny and mine was pleasantly roomy and very clean. The hotel staff was fabulous. The young gentlemen at the front...

This hotel was recommended by the Telegraph as a good cheap Paris hotel. It is. Great location a couple of blocks back from busy Bde St Germain on a quiet square. Good sized rooms and bathrooms. Very basic accommodation but clean and well presented. The staff spoke English and were most polite. If budget is your priority, this is your...

We had 5 people in our party and it was the height of the summer tourist season. So my comments are based on those circumstances. We know Paris is expensive. But the room sizes, the bathroom sizes!, and the lack of any noise insulation whatsoever between rooms. . .terrible. Shockingly expensive for the extremely cramped conditions, lack of towels, and...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
