I found this hotel to be very clean (although still traces of cigarette smoking even though people aren't supposed to be) and in a pleasant residential area. We didn't use the lift (I suffer from claustrophobia) as it was tiny - and then there was...More
Very clean hotel steps away from the metro. Friendly staff very helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Love the neighborhood many different shops, bakeries and ethnic restaurants. We ate a different ethnic meal everyday that we were there!
I start with the positive. Nice helpfull staff. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms. The rooms are small but OK for being Paris. The breakfast is basic but you eat at the café just outside the hotel for a good price. The view from the windows is...More
I was, starting to like this place. Good location next to metro being their biggest plus. The bar downstairs was a bit loud Friday night. But Saturday night they had very loud music until nearly 3am! Virtually impossible to sleep. I can't believe they can stay...More

At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one
street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
