I stayed at Hotel Emile for 8 days in May 2015. I knew that this was not going to be a luxury hotel stay and that was fine by me. The room was big enough to house the bed, side tables and an open cupboard/hanging area. The finishes were tired with chipped paint and the carpet near the shower was...

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Emile in the beginning of May 2015. We had a lovely time in Paris and the city is by far one of my favorite. This time I went with a friend, and we had a twin bedroom. The hotel is very nice and with a great location. The cleaning was very thorough...

When I checked in my first impression was from the girl met me at the reception desk - very nice and welcoming, offering any kind of information and help I need. Then when I saw my room with size of shoe box I was shocked and thinking to move somewhere else as I was on a long business trip -...

Booked straight at hotel's site, a couple of days before; reduced, non-refundable rate. Location couldn't be better for a short 'long weekend' in Paris [taking advantage of a Sunday's evening in Le Marais, where traditionally shops and other venues stay open and welcome visitors] a few hundred meters from the river on foot, on a key spot of the neighborhood...

St. Paul metro station at no more than 50 meters. That is line 1 which can take you to hotel de ville, louvre, concorde, champs elysees and etoile/arc de triomphe. It also intersects with the RER B which take you to both CDG and Orly airports at Les Halles. Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame at a short walking distance....

Stylish hotel in nice part of the city, easy to reach close to the metro and even in walking distance to many sights. I did really like the modern and at the same time retro design. Breakfast is rather simple, but what else do you need than a fresh croissant and a cafe au lait? You should ask for a...

Very stylish little hotel with a perfect location right in the middle of Le Marais. The rooms are small but clean and the breakfast(included in the room rate) is satisfactory(baguette&jam, fresh orange juice, coffee).

I really love staying in this hotel - the staff is very friendly and the rooms are beautiful. There is a large free standing bathtub in front of the bed which is very sexy if you are staying there together. The windows are large and there is a lot of sunlight coming in - you still have the option to...

It's always frustrating arriving to a hotel which offers a lot less than one might expect from at hotel nowadays. What's even more irritating is that it's so obvious that the staff has no ambition at all of making their visitors having a pleasant stay. Instead of being happy to help and service minded, it's truly chocking how they are...

My fiance and I stayed here in June 2014 for 3 nights. We were blown away by the quality and uniqueness of this hotel. We were lucky enough to get a room with a balcony with an amazing view, definitely our favorite part. Pros- Breakfast was simple but delicious, really friendly staff, excellent location steps from the metro and a...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
