Small rooms but clean and comfy beds a great base. Easy to manage for a week I thought it cosy and all rooms in hotels in Paris are small anyway. Staff laid back but helpful when approached and happy to point you in the right direction.

We arrived at 01:30 on a Friday morning and checked in by a friendly and welcoming Night Manager. We were given Room 604, and found the lift to be working and the lights in our corridor came on when we left the lift on floor 6. Yes, the room is very red, not very big, but it has everything we...

This small but friendly hotel has very comfy beds, cleaned every day. Central to wherever you choose to walk in Paris. Metro round corner, cafes and restaurants around every corner. Our first visit to Paris was very pleasant. Taxi driver was a tour guide in himself. Many thanks Hotel Aboukir.

Dated decor and sliding 'mirrored wardrobe' door to the ensuite which squeaked terribly when opened or closed. In addition, the shower would be difficult to access for any mobility impaired clients. Tea & coffee making facilities consisted of 2 teabags, 2 coffee sachets & 2 little UHT milk containers per day and reception refused to provide more. Luckily partner had...

I'm currently writing this from my out dated red room (as the prev person has stated) and it's not that bad at all. It has air con (hot and cold) tea and coffee making facilities a hair dryer, mini fridge and a tv. More facilities than some hotels I've stayed in, the wifi didn't work at first but once I...

Avoid this hotel if you don't want your trip to Paris ruined! Terrible experience from the moment we arrived at this hotel. Lengthy check in time due to extremely slow staff, room was still not ready at 3.30pm, cleaner was vacuuming around our feet, wifi does not work at all, lighting in hallways of hotel aren't on in an attempt...

Its a nice little hotel to stay when visiting the Paris for a few days. Room was small, but i guess that is common thing for Paris accommodations. You don't need bigger one if you stay for only few days and planning to spend your time exploring the city. Location is great. Its few minutes walk away from the city...

The hotel is going through refurbishments so the entrance is at the back and not so glamorous, however I had a very pleasant stay regardless. The receptionist was very helpful and the room was very comfortable. It was quiet and nice for working from my laptop in the evenings. The wifi was also good. I was disappointed in the shower...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
