Location excellent, netro and gare d'Austerlitz opposite hotel. Accomodation was kept immaculate and pristine, 5/5 for that ( all very white refurb in 2011), you wont be disappointed. Lift is small so 1 pram and one person or 1 wheelchair and 1 person only! Breakfast was good (tea/coffee and juices, cereals, breads, condiments, emmental cheese and nutella, when I mentioned...

The location is great for public transport, and, although the restaurants close fairly early, the area is lively enough. Lots of supermarkets and bakerys nearby. As per other reviews, I didn't go for the breakfast option so can't comment. The room was clean with new bathroom furniture but there were areas from the refurbishmant that weren't finished off correctly (broken...

Couldn't recomend this hotel more! The front desk staff were very friendly right from check in. The hotel has been recently renovated and had a "boutique" hotel feel. The location was fantastic, one metro station was across the street and another main station was just a few minutes away. The Seine River was also in walking distance, a little bit...

Stayed here one night in mid-September in order to get an early train the next morning. Clean, basic Parisian hotel. Room was small but totally redone with modern and fairly large bathroom. Even though our room faced the Boulevard, it was quiet due to new windows. Construction in the lobby referred to by others was completed. Staff was friendly and...

The hotel rooms are all newly renovated but quite a small size. The hotel lobby was being renovated in July, but i'm sure that would be completed by now. So the noise and workers would be gone by now. The big advantages are the hotel staff are very helpful and the hotel is located 2 mins from the Gare d'Austerlitz...

This hotel is conveniently located near the metro Saint Marcel and Gare d'Austerlitz. It's just been renovated and the room and bathroom look new. Free wifi everywhere. It's a bit noisy if your room is facing the railway tracks. I love the hotel and overall a very good experience.

This was the first time I have stayed in this hotel, and I must say that I really liked it. I think it's very convenient, you can catch the train straight from Gare du Nord station, and it's an easy 2 min walk from the station to the hotel. The hotel is really clean, modern and the staff are all...

This hotel is conveniently located, withing walking distance from Gare d'Austerlitz train station. Also very near to post office and great cafes and little grocery stores and ATMs. Free wifi that worked very well. It was a little noisy, but bring earplugs and you'll be fine. The room I stayed in was new and very, very nice. Comfortable beds, beautiful...

Clean, staff helpful, modern, lift, close to metro, same line as gare du nord, walking distance to rue mouffetard, yummy Korean around the corner. Close enough to everything to allow a stop half way thru the day to drop off shopping bags!

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
