If you just need a room to sleep in while you tour Paris, without needing to break the bank to pay for exorbitant Paris hotels, then Hotel de Suez is a good choice. But that's just about it - do not expect anything more. The light is a bit dim, and the walls are definitely thin --- maybe we were...

This is my second time staying at Hotel Suez. Both times were great! The hotel has a really cute elevator that helps with bringing up luggage. It's also close to the restaurants in the Latin Quarters, a very awesome area to walk around in. Also, a short walk to Jardin Luxembourg which is great place to take walks in. The...

Stayed here for two nights with my husband and adult son. This is an older hotel located in the Latin Quarter with small rooms, no air conditioning, and a very tiny elevator (room for one person, two pieces of luggage). That being said, the beds were comfortable, the room was very clean, the shower was amazing, and the front desk...

My usual hotel was booked, and since I had always wanted to stay in this neighborhood, I thought I would give this hotel a try. What a wonderful surprise. It is a 2 star in a terrific location, right on Boulevard Saint Michel, close to the Metro, and a lovely walk through the Latin Quarter to Ile de la Cite....

Stayed here in mid June for 4 nights having stayed here on two occasions previously. As other reviewers have stated, the location of this hotel is superb, central to all amenities and the transport hub at Saint-Michel Station. I normally stay here for sporting events at the Stade de France as the hotel is accessible from Charles de Gaulle airport...

The best thing about the Hotel de Suez is the location. All the main attractions are in walking distance or easily accessible with a bus or metro. It's located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, and is easy to get to from just about anywhere. The price is also very good comparing to its quality. It's a 2-star hotel...

We've stayed at the Hotel De Suez several times over the years. Our latest visit was to celebrate my husband's birthday. I had been in contact with the manager and he put us in a wonderful room with a balcony. This made the visit so special. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful....

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
