I have just been here for a short stay with my bestfriend, we didn't expect anything but a cheap stay and a comfortable bed. I need to say the room was really cute and cosy, clean and spacious. Even if we didn't have the private bathroom (and just for you to know the shower is on the ground floor by...

The hostel reception is very basic, they gave us a room on the 3rd floor and was no lift and the first thing you notice is the smell of toilets walking up the stairs. The room was very basic,no TV, no tea/coffee,no shower gel/shampoo. The banging of the doors from toilets was very bad that we couldn't sleep. The receptionist...

Stayed for 2 nights with my partner during the Christmas period. As others have said, it is more of a hostel style accommodation rather than a hotel as the name states, but for the price and location, we were happy. For those unfamiliar with Paris like we were, the place is perfectly situated in the Latin Quarter with monuments like...

Teh hotel is ok and the location is amazing, in the Latin Quarter very close to Notre Dame. The room itself needs a little improvement but the bed was comfortable. The lady in the reception was very helpful and friendly.

Stayed here for two nights before going to Paris, but the hotel was lovely and the beds were so comfortable and could have stayed in them forever. The hotel is centrally located especially for the Gay Scene as it's not that far away. On our first night we got upgrade of rooms for free.

It's not an amazing place but the location is awesome. Near the metrô station, Notre Dame Cathedral and Quartier Latin. The room is fine and the heater is good. I stayed at the second floor, so the stairs was not a problem. The hotel provides clean towels.

Horrible place, can not be called a hotel, terribly dirty- should be shut and an inspection done, before someone get sick! That bad that I could not stay - stinks from the moment you open the door of reception, does not have bathroom and shower, which is just 1 per 2 floors and terribly dirty - point of disease!!!!!! Do...

We had a small room, with only a 2-person (1,5 person) bed, and a small desk. We were at the third level, bathroom very close, but the shower was at the 1st floor. For us this was no problem. It was all very clean. The location of the hotel is magnificent. Very close to everything you want to see in...

Very basic hostel. Poor reception, very bad circumstances in rooms. If I could choose I would pay more money to stay in a different place. This hostel has only one advantage: it is close to shops, restaurants and monuments. If you just want to come to the city and sleep one night don't choose this hostel, pay more and sleep...

Booked this hostel due to the price and location but i wish i paid a lot more to stay somewhere else, hostel reception very basic - we was given a room on the top floor room 30 and didn't realise there isn't any life and the first thing you notice is the smell of toilets walking up the stairs, room...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
