I booked 2 nights at L"Hotel, through hotels.com. for my honeymoon. However we decided to arrive 1 day early, so I called the hotel to check on availability...everythig was fine, they even told me that they will give me the same rate I had for the other 2 nights. After a long drive from Colmar to Paris, we arrived at...

If you like to sleep at night this is not your kind of place. The water running down the pipes from the bathrooms above you is so noisy you wake up thinking you are in amazonia. And the room doors close with a loud bang which reverberates in the splendid central stairwell on which all rooms open. The coffee machine...

Stayed at L'Hotel for two nights in Paris after a visit to Brittany. Wonderfully unique hotel, with superb service. I get the feeling that negative reviews are mostly from people who prefer staying at large chain hotels, but that's not the way to enjoy Paris.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights at the rate of €330 per night and were asked to pay the full amount when checking in. We were disappointed to fine that our room was tiny and dark and very hot. We were made aware that the room overlooked the street but were reassured by the man on the front...

Dear travellingmary529, Further to your comment, we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We stayed at l'Hotel at the end of January for 1 night. Whilst we had a friendly reception from the front desk staff the hotel looked a bit tired. Breakfast service was slow. The room again ok - but looking tired with light bulbs flickering in the corridor on which we stayed. Concierge service was excellent and organised for us...

The location is perfect: in the heart of the Latin Quarter, just a few minutes' walk from iconic cafes like Les Deux Magots and Cafe de Flore. The hotel itself is a small gem and magical piece of history. Oscar Wilde died here, and all kinds of figures from Ava Gardner to Jean Cocteau have stayed here. Each room is...

L'Hotel is undoubtedly a beautiful space, but if you are looking anything close to 3 star service you will be sorely disappointed. It is easier to list here the things that went wrong: 1. I arrived to meet my fiance who had just landed in to London only to be told at reception that he had checked in the day...

L'Hotel was my 1st 5-star hotel, so I was a bit apprehensive that it would be above my game. The staff was top-notch and professional, but immanently approachable, fun, and friendly. They immediately put my fears to rest. There were just a couple of minor issues with the room, which were quickly tended to. This is a hotel I'd enjoy...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
