I came to this hotel out of desperation one night when I had to escape from a party at a friend's house nearby where I was sleeping. They charged me 89 Euros for a room about as big as a closet with the worst and smallest bed imaginable. The room looked like it was only fit for prostitutes. Truly vile... More

GREAT location, easy access from the CDG airport and centrally located. Perfect location to explore the city. The room was OK. I stayed on the 5th floor, in a room with balcony. Small bathroom. The elevator didn`t serve the ground floor, and it was too tiny.

Location and price are the deciding factors for me in Paris. The Agora is perfectly located - metres from the Metro and RER, close to Les Halles, the Pompidou, Notre Dame, the Seine, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops. Our room was on a higher floor and the lift is tiny but OK. The room was very small and the... More

A lovely little hotel, the location right on top of Chatelet/Les Halles RER/Metro station is perfect for almost all sights (many in walking distance), tons of shops, the Forum Les Halles, almost all metro lines and even the RER to CDG airport. Helpful hint for exiting Les Halles metro station (which is huge) - follow the signs to the "Rue... More

One night in Paris and stayed at the Agora. Great location and not that noisy one the restaurants and bars closed below. The staff were very pleasant and helpful giving advice on what to do and where to go. Very good value for money although not luxury you can't beat this hotel for all round value.

Having lived in Paris in the 70s I wanted a few nostalgic and selfishly alone days in central Paris. This was the perfect choice - great ambiance, excellent and unintrusive service, quiet at night, very central and convenient for walking. Once I had discovered my entrance 50m from the hotel to the Metro and RER station of Les Halles, that... More

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday and take him away to Paris for the weekend. I booked the hotel from late rooms.com roughly a month before his birthday. The location itself is excellent - very quiet at night, but still lively enough in the day. There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants within a few minutes... More

Very close to Boulevard St. Germain this is the absolute right location. Close to attractins, cozy bars and very good restaurants indeed. It is a small three star hotel, but it is better than other three stars hotel in this area. Friendly 24 h open reception, nice breakfast room in the basement and the 11 Euros breakfast is quite OK... We spent 3 nights in Paris starting our European holiday. We found Hotel Agora on the Internet and took our chances. We were so happy that it turned out to be a great decision. The location is minutes away from Notre Dame Cathedral and close to most of the major spots we wanted to see. It was also great to... More

Very, very small rooms (99 Euro), very modest interior not exceeding the functional. 1 plastic cup for two people, woolen blanket with cigarette wholes and hairs from the former guest. Very loud - it is not possible to sleep with open window. One point for the location and one for the price. Personally I would not suggest this Hotel to... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
