I stayed here for 3 nights with two friends when we spent a month backpacking around Europe. I'd seen a lot of negative reviews here beforehand, but I dismissed a lot of them as being too demanding. After all, we just wanted the cheapest hostel we could find, and were willing to tolerate the most modest of hostels as long...

I had an awful experience! They have a really weird system and have no record of who they put in the rooms and of how many people are sleeping there. They just want to earn money and for that they make people sleep in extra beds paying the same as the others. I made a booking with my friends of...

I had to go to Paris on business for a few days and chose a cheap place to stay. I was there for three nights, and it was about 50 euros overall. I read the horrible reviews online before I went, but I decided that I would take my chances. I was surprised. The area is heavily crowded with northern...

This place is in a terrible neighborhood, off of a terrible subway stop. There are drug dealers and pick pockets everywhere. Just stay away. The staff member I dealt with named Victor is a scam artist and will take your money any chance he gets. He would not honor my reservation even though I paid a deposit. He would only...

It's nice, clean, and it's the cheapest thing you gonna find in Paris, plus it's located in Montmartre and next to a metro station

Overall I am pleased with staying at "Friend's Hostel". For small price I had nice room, clean bed, common kitchen, separate locker room (called "looker room":) and friendly staff. Only problem was the noise. Hostel is located in very crowded area of mostly Arabic People (who were brazen few times) and next to crossing of 2 big boulevards with a...

I've stayed in many youth hostels. This one is the worst ever, and I will never stay here any more. One thing is that you have to move around and around all the time. The second is that the staff are not very nice. It looks that their only purpose is to get money from you and don't care about...

It is a cheap hostel, but I was a bit disappointed of the rooms. The room that I was in there were 6 beds. The room was small and there was also a small bathroom. I would not advice people who have claustrophobia to go there...it is really tiny. One of the best advantage is that it is near a...

After having read some very critical comments about Friend's Hostel I feel kind of obliged to give my personal view as well. I did not have any of the problems that other travellers seem to have experienced. The neighbourhood is not a tourist area, it is rather one of those authentic city quarters that don't expose themselves to visitors but...
