Room was very dark and just above the kitchen so it smelled all the time. The shower was amazing! Good location to Metro and a brilliant little bakery road the corner. The area is very nice also. Good value for money

Excellent location which enabled to walk to all around the city. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I did not use the bar or restaurant at any point so I cannot comment on that. The only downside was that the wifi logs you out after 12 hours and took a few attempts to log back in. Other than...

The hotel is beautiful and in a fab location, two minutes walk to the metro and bars, restaurants and patisseries are all in walking distance. The beds are very comfy and everything in the hotel is very pretty and modern, and also very clean. My only irritation with the hotel is that in the rooms, there is only a see...

Business wise the hotel is very nice since is very close to my Paris office. Also the hotel is clean and nicely furnished. As all of the hotel from Paris/ Montmartre the rooms are small but in a way this hotel is very chique. The downside was the internet access that was horrible, you had to wait for ages for...

The hotel is a lovely boutique hotel. I had a room with a very comfortable bed. The lighting in the room was not great, as the walls and décor are black or very dark. Some people may not mind, but I like light and bright. The bathroom had a nice shower. They add nice touches such as leaving out a...

It's impossible to take a shower standing up. Very unconfortable bathroom design. In addition the bath tub is in a open hallway. The elevator was not working for 3 days. It would be nice to be informed before you arrive. The location is great. There was a discount on the breakfast buffet (14 instead of 19 Euro). Otherwise it's overprized....

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An impromptu pied a terre or a Parisian holiday address for an extended stay, Hotel Eugene en Ville offers guests superior hospitality with spirited service. The emphasis is on creating a mixed palette of styles. The raw-finished walls and industrial furniture poke fun at more traditional features and appointments. Dark Victorian patinas, ornate mirrors and candelabras, soft, cosy armchairs and curios – all handpicked from antique shops and markets – create a style that is at once refined and iconoclastic. The chemistry is simply compelling. On the same eccentric register, a giant screen shows snippets of life inside a luxury hotel: an unconventional film that takes a witty look at an establishment that is well and truly frequented in every sense of the word. The hotel has inherited the sort of elegance that never seeks to look overly sophisticated. It possesses the kind of charm that always feels spontaneous: that truly Parisian effortless chic that Eugene holds the secret to. ... more   less
