I stayed here for 4 nights in mid-September during a week, when there were apparently many ongoing events (including World Cup Soccer?), which made obtaining a room difficult. I work for a large company that has contracts with a number of Paris hotels to provide...More
It was supposed to be a romantic retreat for my husband and I but we had a terrible experience. We booked a deluxe room but the difference between a regular and a deluxe room is just that the deluxe room is a little bigger. It...More
We stayed at this hotel for 5 days. It is a 4 star hotel and it lives up to it's rating. The room was very spacious, bathroom was also very big and great shower/tub. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgable. Central location to all sites,...More

This area is characterized by its namesake avenue which extends northwest from the Louvre to the modern business district, punctuated by the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Grand embassies stand among impressive offices and presidential palaces; architecture from 19th century Universal Exhibitions, homes, art galleries, and 19th century streets designed by Baron Haussmann flank haute-couture boutiques. This
neighborhood never rests, buzzing with visitors from around the world at all times of day and night, all within a stone's throw of the Seine.

Hey! First of all, let me just tell you that I was in a similar situation to you - my friend and I saved up for ages to go, we're both students too and this was our holiday before university so it was a big deal! But honestly, the hotel was nice! They might have given us a nicer room because we called Expedia and asked to change the booking (not possible - non refundable) - it was 512 if you want to ask for the same! But seriously, go for it, especially on that student budget - the location is great, you'll be out all the time and there's so much nearby. Even the area around the hotel is really safe at night too, it's full of posh shops. The only issue is that the AC doesn't work in the room so it's pretty stuffy if you don't open the window but apart from that it's fine! If you have any more questions, let me know :)
