What we loved: the charm of this old hotel, the cleanliness, the friendly staff, the location, the romantic tiny rooms with balcony. Breakfast is simple, but definitely enough! What we didnt like: the bed was not firm enough, after a long day of walking, my back did not agree with the too soft beds, I'm afraid. Did not get a...

Not right in the middle of the Paris hustle and bustle, but in the heart of the quartier Latin on a quiet side street. a short 5-7 mn walk to Notre Dame Room 62 gives you a fairly large balcony and a glimpse of the Eiffel tower and is very comfortable. I slept like a baby there. There are many...

This is a nice little hotel in a great location. It is right by lots of restaurants and public transportation, and within easy walking distance of multiple sights. The rooms were on the smaller size but comfortable and definitely sufficient for one or even two people. The staff was friendly, helpful, and bi-lingual. There were a few weird things; I...

This was our first visit to Paris; and not knowing where everything is I just picked this hotel since it has good ratings and reviews. My family and I were not disappointed. Don't expect grandeur hotel, big room or anything like that but we had an awesome experience from the minute we step in the hotel. The staff are very...

I have stayed at the College de France at least a half dozen times over the last few years and am happy to report that this small two-star hotel continues to offer a very good experience. The rooms are small but tidy, with nice drapery and bedding. One "upgrade" was especially appreciated: the addition of comfortable duvets on the bed...

This is a wonderful small hotel close to Notre Dame on left bank. The staff are very friendly; very good English, and clean, small rooms . They have many returning visitors so make your reservations early. Reasonable.

The friendliest hotel in Paris, located within easy walking distance of Notre Dame, the Pantheon, and the Sorbonne. Small, European-sized rooms, but very clean. Very economical, and a delight for budget-conscious travelers. This is, without doubt, my favorite place to stay in Paris, and I've hesitated to review it until now, because the last thing I want is a pack...

I stayed here for 6 nights in January and my experience was excellent. Aside from its great location and reasonable prices, the hotel is clean, quiet, and has a very helpful, friendly staff who always made me feel welcome. My room was well-heated (it was very cold in Paris the week I was there) and the bed was very comfortable....

Stayed here in April 2016 . Everything you would expect from a small Paris Hotel but rarely get. Comfortable rooms , excellent service , delightful breakfast and perfect location. The owners and staff of this hotel can be very proud of the product they offer to a weary traveler. Will stay here again next time in Paris and recommend to...

This hotel is very nice, clean and very convenient to a subway station. The staff were all nice and gave great recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. The rooms are a little small, but the bathroom is a full shower and bathtub with good water pressure. I would stay here again.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
