Recently completed a three-night stay in a superior double room. And I realize this is Paris, where one's euros don't go as far as in other cities. I would say this hotel is perfectly adequate, but I'm a bit perplexed about the rave reviews on Tripadvisor.  The location is very good, and the hotel's exterior is lovely. The lobby area...

This was our third time to the this hotel. We have stayed in 2009 (3 nights), 2010 (5 nights), and in October 2012 for 5 nights. The first two stays were magical. Its such a lovely hotel with the best location, close to the best park in Paris, nice little shops, great restaurants and metro. It really is perfect. The...

We are sorry to read that you didn’t enjoy your last stay as much as the previous. It happens indeed that some members of our team decide to leave us but we choose the substitute using the same criteria of kindness, professionalism and service. The key word of all the staff is the well being of our customers and be...

Stayed here 1st week in Nov. Selected hotel based on trip advisor reviews and it was pretty much as reported- a very nice boutique hotel, great location great value. Did not eat breakfast in hotel but service at bar was excellent. Had room 14, nice for a couple, updated bathroom. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for 2 nights in November and had a fantastic stay (bar the weather). The hotel is small and cosy, when we arrived the lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. The lobby is small and quaint, but the bar serves an excellent cocktail and you can enjoy it in the peaceful surroundings...

This is a cute, charming hotel in a great location, rooms are quiet, nice linens, comfortable beds, and the staff could not be more helpful, especially Cecelia. In our previous visits to Paris we have stayed at the Four Seasons and the Ritz but were tired of paying such exorbitant amounts so chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor recommendations...

We loved staying at the Hotel Luxembourg Parc, it is in such a beautiful area right opposite the Jardin de Luxembourg and the Metro is close by. The staff are welcoming and helpful, making sure your stay is comfortable and keen to help with restaurant bookings and advice. We had a very comfortable standard room on the 4th floor, furnished...

We stayed at the Hotel Luxembourg Parc on the last night of our 8 day trip based on it's Trip Advisor rating. It is a lovely hotel in a great area. We especially enjoyed walking to the St Germain and St. Michele areas where there were so many shops and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our...

Not sure what else I can say after all the other accurate, glowing reviews. The staff is amazing, helpful & warm. The location is perfect for walking to almost all the top spots & is close enough to great cafes, but in a quiet area (next to beautiful gardens). Our room was clean, cozy & rustic, but had all the...

My partner and I spent 8 nights at Hotel Luxembourg Parc from August 27 to September 4, 2012. We had a double room that was beautifully furnished in the french manner. The bed and linens were very comfortable and the two windows were covered with beautiful fabrics. They have a library that is exactly as one would expect in a...

Just book it, you can't go wrong. OK, so a few piddling things. The room is a little small and a little warm. If booking here, upgrade to a suite - you won't regret it. A/C not working too well - open the window and get fresh air if you can take the noise. Room is incredibly quiet if the...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
