I was truly delighted by the room, by the location (Quartier Latin, so near the Sorbonne, the Pantheon, and Luxembourg Gardens); relatively quiet street), by the price, and *above all* by the perfectly lovely personnel. I accidentally (and carelessly) took my key with me back to the USA after I checked out. They were wonderful about it. They even invited...

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times, and keep coming back. This is because of two reasons: 1) Its very inexpensive in comparison to what you get. 2) It has the BEST location. I cannot stretch this enough. This is located in the Latin quarter, which is the most romantic spot in all of Paris. And right...

The location of this hotel could hardly be bettered - five minutes from the Pantheon, barely more from Notre Dame, in the Quartier Latin with all its wonderful shops and restaurants. One minute from the Boulevard St Michel. The rooms are tiny. But do you come to Paris to sit in your hotel room? Of course not - you just...

Rooms, Elevator and overall spaces are very very small, but adequate. (Receptionist has a nice joke about it..they try to make the most of the little space they have) Staff was friendly and Location was excellent. I was looking for a 4 persons room within the RER B line and walking distance to the center and this was the cheapest...

My single room had a window (that could not be opened) on to a dismal back courtyard, and the radiator would not come on. The 'wardrobe' was a tiny alcove in the wall. One expects more for €110/night, even in this area. However when I complained they did manage to move me the following night to another room that was...

only thing good with this hotel for us was the location - pure service from staff. They didn't like that we had made the reservation from booking.com. and after check out we have to wait for a taxi and they offer us coffee - but when we leave we have to pay €10 for 2 coffee. The breakfast is also...

We were given 1 room which had no view but was offered a 2nd one with view over neighbourhood. Room. V bijou with a very small bathroom. Very clean though and was offered extra towels and pillows. No air con but standard fan and free WiFi.

Great location, near Luxemboug RER stop in Bvd Saint Michel, in quartier latin. Otherwise, standard 2-star hotel. Small room, ho-hum breakfast ... Reasonable price. As a curiosity, the smallest elevator I have ever seen, but still comfortable for two people.

Booked this very last minute. On arrival we found out the information is in correct and it's actually 36 euros to park for 24 hours. Was just handed room keys no indication which room was which. The double room on the 5th floor was the better of the two. But by no means nice. The 4 bed on the 6th...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
