Stayed at St Jacques for 4 nights and found it clean, tidy & great value - the lady receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. A wee bonus we're the sweets they kept topped up & we could never resist helping ourselves to a few. Excellent.

The hotel is in an amazing location next to Luxembourg garden, boulevard Saint Germain and Notre Dame. The staff were nice. The breakfast - I personally wasn't impressed with a selection that costs 14 euro and for eggs you need to pay 2-3 euros extra... Another thing that the room was very small, but it was very clean. So in...

We visited Paris a week ago and stayed in the hotel Saint Jacques. Our previous visit to Paris was very disappointing and so we were geared up for the same feeling but we were meeting my cousin and her family who live in Australia now and we hadn't seen for several years so we were determined to make the best...

I took my daughter to Paris for her 13th birthday, and we stayed at the Hotel Saint-Jacques. The hotel is cute, quaint, and in a perfect location, about 2-3 blocks from the Saint Michel shopping/cafe area. There are cafes, boulangerie/patisseries, pharmacies, and even a laundromat within one block. The hotel is convenient to a number of metro stops and the...

Visited Paris for the first time in Autumn and stayed at the Hotel Saint-Jacques for a week. Couldn't have been a better place. The atmosphere was spot on, and the service was excellent. Pick up and drop off at the airport were fantastic, and the room over looked the street (which by the way dates back to Roman times). The...

We arrived late, cold and wet. The front desk was very welcoming. We stayed only one night but would have been happy there longer. Nice, refurbished bathroom. Room was cosy for three but not ridiculous. Location was convenient. Beds were comfortable! Wish they had a mini fridge in the room, otherwise no complaints at all. Price was reasonable! Would recommend.

I stayed at this hotel in 2003 and was happy to book again for my most recent trip to Paris. The location is ideal and a major selling point. Transport to/from CDG is incredibly easy via the RER and a quick walk. Once checked-in, you are an easy walk to many major sites, shops and restaurants. It’s around the corner...

I wanted to stay at this hotel while it was used as a location for the Audrey Hepburn film 'Charade'. It didnt disappoint.....a quaint hotel with beautiful decor in a really exciting part of Paris. It is in walking distance of lovely restaurants, Notre Dame cathedral and the Pantheon. Our room was on the top floor with lovely views of...

First of all, the hotel has an excellent location. It is very close to Notre Dome, Saint Germain street and Pantheon. Staff was very nice and we got a free upgrade to a delux room. If we visit Paris again, we will stay in this hotel for sure.

We stayed 5 nights in this gem of a hotel in the Latin Quarter. The staff are amazing - always welcoming and warm as very as being able to help with all enquiries. The hotel is exactly as described with charming rooms with a distinctly french feel from a century ago. The breakfast was scrumptious -i could get seriously addicted...

Dear Guest, We thank you very much for your very nice comment and to give us 5 points. I have nothing else to add to your comment as you mentionned everything so truly. Our magnificent breakfast buffet (you can change every day of what to eat between chocolate croissant, salmon, cheese, fresh fruit salad...), our locations close to everything, and...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
