It was a room for the night when Eurostar trains were cancelled and there were no hotels in the north of the city. The night porter was helpful, breakfast was as expected for eur8 and although the carpet in the bedroom did not bear close inspection, at least the sheets and towels were clean.

I've been staying in this hotel once every year for the last 4 years. The location is excellent right in front of montparnesse tower in the middle of a shopping area with many restaurants. Right next to montparnasse train station. Breathtaking views of Eiffel tower and Montparnasse tower (when reserving, you can ask for a room with view with no...

Hotel as for its price approx. French breakfast only coffee, tea, toast, jam and croissants. Large minus the hotel is only one elevator. Big plus for the location close to the subway, supermarket and many restaurants.

The hotel is well located but very old, with furniture literally falling apart, doubtful hygiene and, the worst of all, it provides NO security. The rooms are accessible with magnetic key cards, but there are no cameras on the hallway or anywhere. Someone entered our room, opened the our two suitcases that were locked - probably with a master key,...

You get what you pay for.!!. Room was spacious but linen and furniture was worn and tired. Bathroom was OK though. The view from the 5th. Floor was terrific !! Reception staff surly, cleaning staff cheerful and helpful. Location is what this place is all about . Good restaurants, bars and transport close to hand. No point in having breakfast there....

We used this hotel as a cheap hotel option in Paris in the first weekend of March. It was easy to walk to many famous attractions including the Eiffel Tower from here. Montparnasse is a vibrant area with many restaurants and bars, with great transport links too. The Tour Montparnasse is a huge tower which you can see from everywhere...

We got a really good deal on this hotel. With that said, it is a basic room. The mattress was new and very comfortable. The carpet was new. The shower was great. The cleaners do an excellent job on day to day cleaning, but there was some old dust in the places you don't look like the tops of picture...

Perfect location, super-friendly staff, especially an Italian man from the front desk who always smiled and was unbelievably nice. Rooms are clean, and I can still remember a house keeper named Annie or something like this who was very sweet. Also, the room was SO big, and there were always hot water for the shower. Breakfast - fresh continental, just...

Although the hotel seems to be old and needs a renovation (the elevator for example), but the room was clean and the neighborhood exceptional (a few meters from the montparnasse tower). The personal were quite friendly and the price was not so high compared to the other paris hotels in the same category. I asked for the prices of some...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
