The staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms were small, however typical of European hotels. The breakfast was decent and their staff was accomodating. The lobby is okay, nothing special however. I would rate the hotel on a scale of 1-10 as a 7.

Just returned from a too short stay at this great little hotel. The location is fantastic and the recently renovated room was a decent size for the price. The staff was wonderful--friendly and helpful. It even has room service!! We plan to return next year.

This hotel in the St. Germain district is centrally located for walking to museums and shopping, with many nearby affordable small and large restaurants. The staff is very friendly with daily newspapers in many languages and free internet and Wi-Fi. The rooms have been tastefully refurbished, but are quite small, but adequate considering the ideal location.

This boutique hotel has an excellent location across from the Parc de Luxembourg and close to the Pantheon. Our room was kind of small but it was very quiet, the bed was very comfortable and we had a street view. The hotel provides a computer you can use and they will also lend you an i-pad loaded with a variety...

Serge, the manager, was wonderful and all the staff was considerate and helpful. Great location and we'll go back again. Ask Serge (or anyone at the desk) for the rooms with the views of all of Paris. Breathtaking.

Superb location with the Luxembourg Gardens just 100 yards away at the bottom of the road and the superb restaurant La Ferandaise right next door .Rooms are typical Paris size so worth going for more than their standard . A little pricier but there are sometimes deals to be had . The staff on the whole were friendly and helpful...

The area around the Jardin du Luxembourg really is beautiful and this hotel is located on a fairly quiet street just off the gardens close to several metro stops. The reception staff were very courteous and professional and the hotel was one of the best 3-stars in which I've stayed in Paris from regular trips there over the years. The...

We stayed here for 4 days in May. I've been to Paris several times before, staying mostly in cheaper, small hotels in the 4th and 5th. We decided to splurge a bit and head for the 6th, and I was a little disappointed. I don't think the steep increase in price at Hotel Le Senat was worth what we got...

I took my wife for her first trip to Paris. She is very well travelled throughout France, speking the language fluently but had always avoided the capital. Paris has a reputation throughout the rest of the country of it's residence being rude and surly. Well upon arrival the staff of the hotel did everything possible to dispel that myth. Other...

This was a special trip as it was the first time that I had traveled to Paris and was taking my mother who also had not been before. We booked our hotel based on reviews from TravelAdvisor and were not disappointed! The hotel is located on a side street in a wonderful area near Luxumburg Gardens and just a few...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
