It's hard to beat the location of this hotel. Just down the street you have famous cafes, restaurants, and cool shops. There are also 2 metro lines conveniently located. The staff was exceptionally helpful when we asked them about the area and restaurant recommendations; they were also kind enough to print our train tickets for us. The bed was comfortable...

location, location....2 minutes from St Germain station, in the middle of bustling typical french boutiques, artgalleries, antiqueshops and bistros.Deux magots.... The hotel is maybe not reformed and we read about its steps, but then it has kept its charme (and the price!) The hotel is familyrun, the owner makes his own marmelade and has very sympatic exstudents as nightporters. This...

Easy to find, close to underground station, nice neighborhood with many shops and bistros, pleasant room overlooking the narrow street, clean room, daily housekeeping, and a lovely little lounge facing the street which takes you back to the 18th century. Only problems were the 90 steps to the upper floor (which was expected for such an old building in the...

Hotel Du Dragon was a great find set in the heart of Paris away from the tourists. It is close to the luxenburg gardens and supermarket. Good location. Value for money. Front Desk was friendly. Close to the metro and shops. Room was good size. Downside was there is lots of steps to the room and no lift.

The hotel is in a great location and has really nice staff. The room had a nice warm shower/bath. The building itself is quite old and the beds aren't very comfortable. There are quite steep stairs to go up and I personally found it quite expensive for the one night.

This is a small boutique hotel in the Saint Germaine district of Paris. Wonderful location but the hotel lacks an elevator and anyone to give assistance with luggage. If you cannot handle multiple flights of winding stairs with luggage...this is not the hotel for you! WiFi was limited to one person. Since I checked in to two rooms to accommodate...

This is a small, old hotel in the great St. Germain neighborhood. I stayed here for three nights in September 2014. The rooms are simple, plain and a bit outdated but very comfortable and functional. Despite what others have said, I found my room to be a bit larger than the average Parisian hotel room and the bathroom was large...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
