Spent 6 nights in Hotel Saint Andre des Arts. Fantastic location, walking distance to St Chapelle, Notre Dame cathedral and Louvre. Happening street, Saint Andre des Arts, with plenty of restaurants. The popular ice cream outlets, Amorino and Grom, are also within the vicinity. We found a supermarket, Carrefour, just minutes away, which we visited almost everyday to replenish our...

We stayed here last summer during the Bastille Day Celebration. The location is amazing!! Very central to lots of things, we walked almost everywhere. The hotel is clean, they serve a very simple breakfast every morning which consists of fresh bread and toping of jam or butter. Coffee was very good, juice and milk. No bells or whistles but it...

Basic but characterful hotel in the centre of St Germain. Rooms at the front are noisy at night as you'd expect in this location but they offer great people watching as a consolation! Breakfast is served in the lobby on antique tables. Nice, friendly reception staff help the ambience. This must be the best value hotel in this part of...

We've stayed here a few times, with the same experiences every time. The hotel is amazing value, and it's basic but quirky, with breakfast (tea/coffee/hot chocolate and all the baguette with butter/honey/jam you can eat) included. The staff are always friendly and helpful too

My wife come to Paris 2 times a year for the last 5 years and are definitely coming back here. They are upgrading to a ** status but just neat people wonderful music in lobby which the owner "a Jazz devote" made a copy of the compilation of CD's he had for me. As I said if you want to...

This is a hotel I have stayed in a couple of times before over the years but I decided to return as a non-student to see if it was as good as I remembered. It didn't disappoint: yes it is basic and old but its location is incredible if you like the 5th and 6th districts of Paris. I love...

Know what you are getting and what you're not, and you'll have a great time. What you get: fantastic location (St Germain - 10mins' walk to Louvre, really near lovely rue de Buci), decent sized room, en-suite shower/bath, simple breakfast included (coffee/tea/hot choc, bread and jam/honey), helpful staff, free Wi-fi. What you don't get: no 5* luxury/frills (& no 5*...

This hotel is located in the Latin Quarter not far from the St Michael fountain. We found it by simply walking around looking for a vacancy but it was great! It has free wifi which I appreciated and they included a typical continental breakfast of baguette, butter, jam and tea of cofee. Like most budget hotels we stayed at in...

When I am in Paris, I don't need anything but a basic clean room, in a central location. I am very no frills kind of guy. I rather take the extra money and have a great meal. Hotel St. Andre des Arts has a great location but was not a very clean hotel. I stayed at the hotel for 8...

We loved the Hotel St. Andre des Arts! The location is perfect. We stayed in the quad room w/private bathroom - number 32 that was surprisingly spacious and perfect for my husband and I and our two teen aged children. I liked the fact that the room was divided into two separate rooms. The front desk clerk couldn't have been...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
