I travelled to Paris October 2014 with my sister, but I don't believe I reviewed this hotel yet.... We were very pleased with the Welcome Hotel. My sister and I love to walk, and if you love to walk as well there are many landmarks to walk to from this hotel. The reception staff were very helpful. The hotel rooms...

Dear H0ckeyNut, Thank you very much for sharing your experience on Trip Advisor. It is a pleasure to see that you did not forget us since October 2014! Our staff were pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay in Saint-Germain des Près. It is a very lively area, that is why it can be loud with the window opened....

The hotel itself is very very tiny and cramped. The rooms are small, and don't expect the basics such as kettle, and iron boxes! You do get unlimited supply of hot water, and the rooms are air conditioned and heated. So, no worry there. Now here is where all of that money was paid for - THE LOCATION! It is...

Pleasant, friendly, otherwise unremarkable hotel ....in a perfect location. Where it is... not what it is ...is the selling point of this hotel. Great view from the small bedroom window of Boulevard St Germain. Walking distance of Notre Dame etc....true Parisian restuarants and shops just round the corner...street markets almost everywhere....famous cafes 5 minutes away. What a great location, walking distance to the great attractions such as Notre Dame and the amazing stores on the Boulevard Haussman. The hotel is small in size but large in service, you can even get a cup of tea or coffee 24/7 without room service charges. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and happy to help with any request. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
