Nicely located near a Metro station and within easy walking distance of The Seine. It sits above and next to a delightful cafe with whom it has an arrangement for breakfast. Beautiful street overlook from our 5th floor bedroom included the Eiffel Tower. Small, cosy and comfortable room with minimalist but sufficient facilities. Open the window and hear Paris in...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 2 July 2016

Absolutely love this hotel. I was amazed by the beauty of Paris and with the comfort of a wonderful place to stay at night. My mother's room had a view of the Eiffel Tower. Everything I wanted was a walk or subway away. St. Germaine subway right around the corner and a Grocery store across the street. I could buy...

Charming hotel up a few stairs (they have a lift) above the busy cafes and markets of the St. Germain-des-Pres neighborhood. Comfortable, clean rooms with typically tiny bathrooms. Our room had an exciting view of the pedestrian street below, which was a little noisy in the evenings but we enjoyed the atmosphere. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful....

I've been coming to Paris yearly for over a decade and always stay in St. Germain, usually at a hotel down the street from the Welcome. My sister saw the good reviews of this place and the reasonable price for a twin room and asked if we could give it a try. Knowing the area well, I was a bit...

We stayed for 3 nights at the welcome hotel and would definitely recommend it. The staff were so welcoming and could do enough to make sure you was well informed from where to eat, using the metro, places to visit. The rooms were small but we wasn't there to spend time in the room so this wasn't an issue. The...

One of many ideal locations in Paris. A few blocks to the Louvre, the D'Orsay, and the Luxembourg Gardens. And close to many restaurants, including some French ones. Several Metro stations are only a block or two away. The staff was great and the rooms were clean and adequately appointed. There is even a lift, although it is pretty small....

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
