Loved the location but the hotel rooms were smaller than your den. We could barely move around the bed. It was a quick overnight for us and we needed 2 bedrooms so this fit the budget. We didn't have breakfast but there are plenty of places on the street. There are 2 metro stations within 3 min walk and a...

I reviewed this hotel last year and was so delighted with my experience that I again stayed there with my sister. For us, it would be hard to find a hotel to equal La Perle for comfort of a sizeable room, location and price. I booked a Twin Executive Room which was easily able to accommodate two single beds, a...

We often hear about the French not being friendly or welcoming. Well I have very good news for you all. This is our 4th trip to France and 3rd time in Paris and we have never encountered anything else but friendly smiles, eager to assist people even in the street and most certainly at the Perle. The Hotel La Perle...

Tucked away in the back streets of the St.Germaine area of Paris is this true gem of a Parisienne hotel. It is clean, quite and nothing is a problem at reception. The breakfast was good and the rooms more spacious than we have experienced before in Paris. It is within a short walk to the River Seine and is surrounded...

Since our first visit to Paris 30 years ago I've stayed in more than 20 hotels (and 4 apartments) and Hotel la Perle is one of the best, if not the best (excluding The Ritz, which we splashed out on in 2000 fir a couple of days). My wife and I asked for a quiet room overlooking the courtyard and...

We were so eager to return to this gem of a hotel, and found it every bit as good as we had remembered it...lovely accommodations, perfect location, and the nicest, most competent staff you'd find anywhere. Given recent events, we were doubly happy to find the atmosphere of Paris unchanged. The city was bustling, beautiful and felt completely safe. We...

I stayed in Hotel La Perle for two nights in July 2016. Situated in the midst of Saint Germain's main square for bars and restaurants, La Perle is in a perfect location for everything you need. The rooms were clean, fresh and comfortable - although quite small but this didn't matter to me. The reception staff were also extremely friendly...

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel in the heart of St. Germain des Pres. They have a lovely inner courtyard and dining area for breakfast. The rooms were small but so well designed that you didn't even notice. They were also very nicely air conditioned which we appreciated in July. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is surrounded by...

Historic significance meets modern convenience: This hotel offers the best of both. The rooms are quaint, marked by exposed beams and French windows, yet they feature modern plumbing and fixtures. Quiet! A small refrigerator in the room was ideal for storing pastries and wine from nearby shops. The hotel is located just steps from Luxembourg Gardens and about half a...

We would definitely stay here again, it was perfect for our family. Rooms are beautifully appointed, very comfortable beds, a great value for money breakfast. The location was superb, very close to 2 metro stations or take a lovely walk to the Seine.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
