This is a lovely little Hotel with great, friendly staff. Set just off the Latin Quarter so there's plenty of places to eat and drink in the area but the Hotel is quiet. The Odeon Theatre is 1 min up the road with a big court yard to sit outside and have a drink, downside to the Hotel is no...

This hotel has a very nice location and rooms. The room included a desk, a TV (not that we watched it when there's so much to see in Paris!), many towels, a safe, bottles of body wash, q-tips, and soap. The internet was pretty slow in the evenings, but faster in the afternoon (probably because less people were using it...

Stayed during a July heatwave in Paris. Staff are kind, efficient and helpful. I was able to check-in early and check-out late as the hotel was not full. Wonderful location! A block from The Odeon. Near the Boulevard Saint-Germain. Also near the Metro L'Odeon. A very quaint hotel on a side street with several small eateries and boulageries nearby. Walking distance to great shopping and dining. Walking distance to Jardin du Luxembourg. A must see park! Great for picnics and relaxing! Will definitely stay here again. Affordable, quiet...

I stayed in at the Grand Hotel des Balcons for 6 nights in July, 2016. It shares some of the same features you will experience in most two star hotels in Paris: no air conditioning, really small rooms, bizarrely small lift, no bar. But ... as far as two star hotels in Paris go (and I only ever stay in...

Got a good deal at this hotel for 5 nights in Paris. Lovely location steps from the Odeon theater, some pretty (and pricey) street cafes in Carrefour de l'Odeon, the Odeon metro station, the Luxembourg gardens, and many shops and restaurants. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
