The rooms are basic but very comfortable and clean. The neighbourhood is rather quiet, so you can have a perfect rest there. There is only one lift, so you have to be patient when going out, or simply take the stairs. One thing to have in mind: the receptionists speak only in french, so communication can be a little difficult,...

My wife and I booked the hotel in June 2011 for 3 nights. The week before our arrival I decided to contact the hotel to confirm our booking as we've read some reviews that people would show up and the hotel never kept their reservations... The person I spoke with told me they had no reservations for us and that...

If you are looking for a cheap hotel in the heart of Paris, this is it! Don't look for big luxury, wellness and spa. What you get is a room with a nice bed to sleep in, a bathroom that has seen better days, but everything is clean and tidy. It suits all those who, like us, come to Paris...

Basic but clean rooms in central location, at unbeatable prices. The rooms on the high floors at the back of the hotel are quiet. Breakfast is served in your room. Free wifi. If you take a room without private bathroom, you will need to buy tokens to use the communal shower facility (which may be 5 floors away). Hotel management...

This hotel is VERY close to the nearest metro stop. I was so pleased to arrive in Paris after an overnight train trip from Venice. The room was ready at 12h00 – what a bonus. The room was spotless and spacious. It was cold and raining outside and I was please to have a carpeted room, with an en-suite bathroom....

A great little place. Value for a clean centrally located budget hotel. Staff very friendly, nice basic breakfast available in your room. Convenient to everything, so able to drop in and out during the day as you do things in wonderful Paris. I had nothing biting me as I saw in a recent review.

I travelled in Paris in Nov and I decided to stay in Tiquetonne Hotel for two nights. Great location right next to Les Halles, quite cheap, rooms equipped with basic furniture, very small, quite noisy at weekend nights so it was difficult to fall asleep at night. Hevewer the worst ting that happened to me in that place was that...

Went there on november 2010, 2 nights, 2 time in this Hotel. No way, it DOES be cheap and basic, BUT prices are as low as €40 per night per person for the rooms w/o services, while € 60 for rooms w. shower+toilet. Staff is kind and ready to help. Knowing French is a plus, WiFi is available. Location is...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
