A boutique style hotel set in a quite street but close to all amenities. Simple in style but clean and very welcoming. In the street there were good restaurants a bar and a little supermarket with many more restaurants close by.

For a good nights' sleep and hopping onto the metro, this hotel is perfect. Also walking distance to Fondation Cartier museum, good raclette and seafood restaurants. Little toiletries, soft bed and mini-fridge in room in case you stock snacks/drinks.

Dear "Minerva H", Thank you very much for your comment, we appreciate ! Also, thank you for mentioning two of your sources of joy : "Fondation Cartier museum" and "good raclette"... French food will remain fantastic against all odds ;) Seriously, you're definitely right : one of the best raclette parisian restaurants (and also sea food restaurant) is near the...

Location was good for restaurants and right next to a tube station. Air conditioning worked well in a very hot week in Paris. Room faced the rear court yard so was quiet. Hotel is modern. Breakfast was very basic for the money. Room safe was difficult to access so gave up. Main room light didn't work and even though I...

I'd stayed in a few areas of Paris during Euro 2016, but found Montparnasse to be by far the best, so went back to this area a month later with the wife. Hotel Istria is very well located there, right beside the Raspail metro station, and within a 5/10 minute walk from others linking you to anywhere in Paris, including...

I had credit card fraud at this hotel. No cooperation from staff whatsoever even after explaining all the details. Avoid this if you want to save yourself of these fraudsters. Look at other similar reviews. Unfortunately, I did not look at them before booking.

Dear Sir, We want to sum up this bad issue : You made 3 reservations and didn't cancel any of them. Consequently, we were waiting for you. And since you didn't show off, we had to charge the first night of your different supposed stays. This is how our general policy work here and in most of hotels. We confirm...

This hotel is of interest to literary and cultural buffs, having housed many celebrities from the pre-war days such as Man Ray, Satie, Duchamp, Rilke, although it looks nothing like it did in those days. It is well located in the Montparnasse area with the Metro Raspail at the end of the block. For those interested, it is a short...

Very good location - located just 2 mins away from Raspail Metro station. Also, just 15-20 mins walk away from Luxembourg Gardens. There is a supermarket in the same street. Denfert-Rochereau, which has the Orly Bus stop is a 10 min walk away The room itself was quite comfortable and very clean. The double bed was 2 joined single beds...

Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you so much for your nice comment, it's such a pleasure to read you've enjoyed your stay at Hotel Istria ! Very near to subway station with easy access to city center. The room is clean and there is coffee and tea available on room. A big down on the 4 days I stayed there, in the morning there was no hot water to take a shower.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
