HB is an older hotel with different room quality/price combinations. I was with a tour group, so I don't know the actual prices, and (due to a scheduling problem) I got to sample two levels of room; one was pretty nice (sixth floor facing the street), and the other was so-so (third floor facing the inner court). The location, in...

The best things here are the location and Eric at the front desk. Others have described the minuscule elevator. 2 blocks to St Germain, San Sulpice around the corner. Room 27 is excellent, with windows on opposite walls; one facing the street and the other looking to the courtyard seeing the tower of San Sulpice. All personnel pleasant and helpful....

Staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was adequate, rooms were very nice, clean, bathroom small. I would stay there again. Area was close to many sights, St Germain walking distance to Louvre and Notre Dame.

Stayed at the Hotel Bonaparte for three nights in late December in a single room and I had a great experience overall. Staff was very helpful and amenable when I had questions or needed to store luggage. The hotel location is fantastic too, so close to the Jardin du Luxembourg and in the heart of the St. Germain. Notre Dame...

My family has for the past 10 years or so made the Hotel Bonaparte our Paris Residence -- why come back roughly every two years? Simply stated the Manager, Eric and the Hotel Bonaparte Team who make the Hotel a most pleasant and enjoyable place for a Paris -- and French countryside via train-- vacation: this October we stayed for...

We stayed her for the last two weeks of October, 2015. The room was an adequate size and the staff were very friendly an helpful. Their breakfast buffet let us eat in the morning before setting out for the day. The Metro and bus stops for 5 major routes were within a block of our hotel and there were enough...

Hotel Bonaparte was a lovely experience--like stepping back in time (in a good way)! The room was cozy, the maid service wonderful. Manager Eric and Frederic, the other lobby clerk, were so helpful and pleasant at all times. The location was perfect--just around the corner is St. Sulpice and many good restaurants in close proximity. I would recommend this great...

I booked this hotel on fairly short notice and stayed back in June of 2015. The staff was lovely when I arrived, very helpful. My room was fine. Yes, they are older rooms, it's an older building, but that's what I expected, so truly didn't have any major issues. One oddity is the shower and I have no idea how...

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Bonaparte for two weeks in September, 2015. This was our second stay at this hotel (first time was in September, 2009) and by coincidence, we stayed in the same room (#16). It was our third visit to Paris. We have mixed feelings about this hotel. First the Pros: The location of the...

Second visit to Hotel Bonaparte and second was as good as the first. The location is excellent and the staff is better. We had a great room with a comfortable bed and plenty of room for both of us. I can recommend this hotel to anyone interested in staying in the 6th.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
