My and my wife stayed at mercure la Sorbonne for 3 nights in a normal room on the first floor facing the Sorbonne . The hotel is small , comfortable , clean and modern ( some hotels in paris looks as if the 70's never ended ..) rooms are small but well equipped and well kept. If you're looking for...

Very nice area. Easy to get the RER and the metro. Also walking distance from the most tourist spots such Notre Dame and Louvre. The hotel is cosy and tidy. Hoever, for the price I was expecting bigger rooms and other facilities.

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, Thank you for having taken the time to leave your appreciation on internet. Our hotel is located on the edge of the 5th and 6th district of Paris, in an old building , whose distinctive style is in harmony with that of the Latin Quarter and contributes to the charm of the hotel. As often in...

Lovely small hotel in a great location. Would probably be a bit overpriced if you had to pay the full amount but they have good deals available. Smallish but well laid out and beautifully decorated rooms. Free wifi and very helpful staff.

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Paris, particularly as a family. It was perfect for us to explore the Latin Quarter, and easy to get to other key areas. The staff were pleasant and professional. The family room we had was ideal, and in a quite part of the hotel, and the large bed...

Excelent choice of hotel in Paris. Excellent team, location and breakfast. Our only remark is that the room was too hot, despite the temperature control. We had to sleep with the windows partially opened. Outside temperature was 5 to 15 C.

I stayed three nights with my wife for her birthday. It was an absolute perfect stay. The hotel is newly renovated and in excellent condition. The location is perfect within short walking to very many restaurants and Notre Dame. I thouroughly enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Located 2 minutes walk from Metro and Saint-Michel restaurant area. Near Notre-Dame. Very nice (but small) room, good cleaning. Breakfast is good, both hot and cold choices in addition to eco-food. Hotel personnel are polite and helpful. Reccomended

You cannot beat the St. Michele/Sorbonne area for walking to great restaurants and cafes and very convenient to the Metro. We have stayed here twice. It has a residential rather than sightseeing feel to it. My only complaint is the crazy shower setup...which is common in Europe. Why not invest in a shower curtain?

we had a business deal on this hotel direct from Accor and we found it refreshingly small and nice for a Mercure. Small room but very nice with Sorbonne view straight out of the window on 6th floor. Quiet street but handy to everything, and very pleasant helpful staff happy to speak English if needed, excellent breakfast with healthy options....

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
