Unfortuantely when I stated there was a lot of noise from the neighbouring rooms, especially from the water pipes - and some guests do shower at night... The staff is very friendly though, and speak english well.

I think we had the smallest room in the hotel up in the attic but as we were only there for 2 nights, and for the money, it didn't bother us. It was just a place to store our luggage and put our heads down for the night. Staff were extremely helpful and it was clean in a quiet area...

Stayed for business, great location, clean, nothing special but for a business trip more than enough. Very close to all amenities, bar, restaurants. If I need to go to Paris again, this hotel will be my choice.

all good but the desire for hotel designers to put fierce spring door clousure on all doors means that any late comers or worse early risers are accompanied by noisy door slams making for a disturbed night...rooms and bathrooms small but at a good price.

We just used the hotel to get 6 hours sleep between Eurostar and a train to Bayonne the next morning - hence why I haven't filled in all the questions,as there wasn't much time to judge. It was well-located for the morning train (at Montparnasse) and easy to get to on Metro from Gare du Nord. Rooms were compact but...

Well-located hotel not too far Montparnasse tower and Denfert-Rocherot square. Very kind staff English-speaking and some even know Spanish. Rooms are clean but are small. No air-conditioner in rooms (just portable fans). An enough range of breakfast components are ready in the morning.

Good hotel suited not too far from the main attractions. The room we were given (01) was rather small, but it was nicely decorated. Wifi was good and tv only had 2 English news channel, rest were French. Most staff were helpful. Room could do with a fan, for the summer months and a tv satellite.

Located in a quiet street, not far from subway station (4minute walk), very helpful staff, clean rooms with a good bed (not a king size one) Lots of places to eat or drink nearby, walking distance from the catacombs (our advice, go wait in line around 9 'o clock, it opens at ten)

This is by no means a Marriott or a Radisson or a Holiday Inn. For the tourist who is looking just for a clean room to stay the night, this is a good hotel. Rooms are very small and cramped - about 125 - 150 sq ft. Bathroom and shower area (tub) are very small - one barely fits in...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
