This is remodeled beau epoch hotel that retains a lot of its traditional decor. The rooms are not too small by Parisian standards and they are beautiful and cozy. The price is very reasonable for Paris (at a discounted price, I paid only about 95 euros). The breakfast was pricey at 13 euros but it is excellent. The jams and...

They’ve gone out of their way to try to preserve that Second Empire-Beaux Arts feel. Fireplaces, alabaster busts on the mantelpiece, the paintings. I’m sure I’ve seen the cage elevator in an old movie. Good sized rooms, passed the two-suitcase test with flying colours. Huge and comfortable bed.The air conditioning was welcome on a day when Paris was 33⁰C and...

Rooms are so Art Nouveau and pretty. Ours had a fireplace and a nice bathroom! The location is great! The service is really good, and the breakfast buffet is amazing! They have lots of mini croissants, fresh baked bread, fruit, cereal, and meat.

Very good hotell! Pretty room, good bed, nice staff. BUT the breakfast was not included... and it was not worth extra 15 euro. For 15 you can go outside to eat, i recommand that! Was easy to find the hotell and it was near everything in the center. You can walk around 20 min to the Louvre and then around...

Stayed here exactly 2 years ago and on my return the month found the same charm, quality and friendliness.Rooms are large by Paris standards, showers are hot and have large shower heads. Rooms are quiet but certainly better if you have a room to the rear of the hotel. It is located only a half block from Trinite with good access...

This was the perfect place for us to stay on a long Valentine's Day weekend! The hotel was incredibly accommodating with getting us into our room early...I had worked a whole day and flown overnight so getting access to a shower before exploring Paris meant the world to me. Couple items to note: -We stayed in a room on the...

Cosy hotel ideally located near the Grand Boulevards and citycentre. Close to the railwaystations as well. Friendly staff, comfy rooms and some with a huge bathroom. Great breakfast even though the eating room is rather small-sized.

We arrived on November 12 for our anniversary celebration. Our trip was interrupted by the tragic events of November 13, but we always felt safe and secure at the hotel through the following week. The hotel is a bit of a throwback, but absolutely charming. The front desk showed us multiple rooms and allowed us to choose at check in....

I just realized that I failed to submit a review of this charming hotel following our stay last fall. We selected this hotel based on 1. Price and 2. Convenient access to the Metro. We were not disappointed. Total charm! Pastries nearby if you don't want to pay for hotel breakfast. MAKE SURE to study your map carefully before finding...

This hotel is a real find. Staff could not have been more gracious and welcoming. If you want sleek and modern with every possible amenity, stay at the Waldorf in New York. If you want charn, a romantic setting and atmosphere, old world comfort (but modern plumbing and comfortable bed and bathroom facilities) and the ambience and spirit of Paris,...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
