Booked this hotel through lastminute.com, and thought I would add my views. We went for our first 'romantic mini-break' as a couple and it was absolutely lovely (the city AND the hotel). I've never stayed before in a hotel which was genuinely a pleasure to come back to. It was clean, nicely decorated, with funky details. We had a lovely...

I made my booking for this hotel after reviewing what members at TripAdvisor had said about the hotel before. The check-in was a breeze, very effective. My room (Deluxe) was ok, but very minimalistic which was what I expected. The room was clean and well maintained. The instructions to the in room safe were only in French, I asked the...

If you are after a hotel that is reasonably priced but want it clean, modern, and close to Montmartre then this is the place for you. The most notable thing is the bathroom - beautifully kitted out with fantastic shower & funky sink! The higher up you go the less noise you get from the main road outside & a...

Definitely would recomend this Hotel. When we came off the Metro (Blanche) we looked across the street and there it was. Excellent location to Moulin Rouge, Monte Marte and Sacre Coeur. The Hotel staff spoke English and were very helpful. The Hotel is VERY modern and spared nothing in their renovations and decorating. We were on the 6th floor on...

We stayed one night in the Relais de Paris Le Chat Noir and found it quite good. The room was clean, nicely decorated and spacious. The bathroom was stylish and clean and we found the bed very comfortable. However we did have a couple of issues. My wife and I booked this hotel for our anniversary 4 months earlier and...

A French friend of mine booked 2 nights at Le Chat Noir on my behalf, and consequently managed to receive a small discount on the Double Standard Room rate. I chose this hotel due to the fact that it was an alternative to another fully booked Hotel Du Groupe Les Relais De Paris hotel which I had a good experience...

This hotel is located in the montemarte area and is just fantastic. it is almost right next to the moulin rouge, and there is an abundance of cafes and bars on the street. We found the hotel really clean and the staff were really nice and helpful. The only complaint we had was that there was no mini-bar, but the...

We stayed at Le Chat Noir for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary and a break away from the children. The hotel location was great, especially as we went to the Moulin Rouge one night and only had to walk there which took about 1min. The rooms and the hotel in general are great. Everything inside is brand new. The...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
