Breakfast was good and varied - but not the vegetables in the French manner. Hotel Room acoustic insulation was such that from the outside we did not hear anything but between rooms there was no sound insulation at all. I do not know if the reason was that we were probably in the most modest room in the hotel. The...

For the price, in Paris, this is a very nice hotel. Not five stars of course in the sense of the Ritz, but for what you get, I would definitely stay here again. The rooms are typically small, European size, but we had a beautiful view from the room and every needed amenity. Convenient to the Metro and the cafes...

We were 3 persons sharing a junior suite on the 8th floor. Lovely view from our room of the Eiffel Tower etc.we didn't have breakfast included as it was a ridiculous price. The lift was extremely small and slow, a problem when I have claustrophobia but that's not the hotels fault. Strange not to have to present our passports on...

I stayed here for 2 nights and was really impressed with the quality of the hotel and how friendly and helpful the staff were. My room was lovely, with a large bathroom and very comfy bed. It was not far to walk here from Gare du Nord station and the hotel was opposite the venue I was going to. The...

I stayed here for 2 nights and booked a single basic, but was pleasantly surprised to see that the hotel had upgraded my room to the single deluxe. I'd read iffy reviews for the basic, so was really pleased with the deluxe. Room was small, but comfy bed, decent wardrobe space and clean. En-suite bathroom was bright and modern with...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night in december 2012. The hotel is very well situated between two subway stations, and is 5min walk from Moulin Rough. On the street there are alot of small shops and bars. But be aware of the area- even though it is great location, the area is full of bars, stripclubs, sexstores...

11 of us ladies stayed in this hotel for 2 nights to celebrate a 60th birthday. We booked 5 twin rooms and one single; the rooms were of a good size, especially for Paris, and nicely furnished and exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable and everything worked in the shower. The reception and bar staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly...

Had a quad room on the 8th Floor with a great view looking towards Montmartre. The room had one double bed which was partitioned off as well as two singles which was perfect . The room was a fair size but storage space was not great. It was clean and the beds comfy. Its was about a 3 minute walk...

Hotel Carlton is a good place to stay while in Paris. It is cosy, clean, calm and well located. The staff is very helpful. Rooms are cosy, with 2 comfy beds, TV, desk, water boiler and a reasonably large bathroon. It is located near Montmartre, there are two metro stops in the nearest proximity, the area is rather safe, there are...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
