Be aware of giving credit card at reception on arrival. We had two rooms and were asked to autorize credit card the amount of 50eur per room for damage purpose. One day after we left the hotel they took 190euro from my credit card without any explenation. When i called them to ask they told me that we made damage... More

Dear Goran C, We are sorry for your disappointment. However, on check-in we warned you why we ask for a deposit but you smoked in the room. Smoking is forbidden and is charged 68€ by the french authorities. We did not charge you 68€ but we had to charge for the damage on the carpet as we called a company... More

I stayed at this hotel while passing through Paris on our way to Rome last February, and will return there again in December. In a previous trip, my wife and I stayed near Rue Cler, close to the Eiffel Tower. That was the perfect location for the initial tourist trip, with an almost unlimited selection of cafes nearby, but the... More

As a first time visitor to Paris, I was not sure what to expect. This hotel did not meet my expectations, the elevator was tiny and rooms were on the smaller side. On a positive note the location was good being that it was just a train ride away from the action. Staff was not the friendliest. Lots of bars... More

Dear Ms Leslie P, Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to read that you did not like one of our superior rooms we upgraded you to during your stay in the city. I was a little bit taken aback at first, this is what was once considered the " red light " district. It's a little seedy but very vibrant and a great place for the 20-30 age range. Public transportation is nearby and close to the hop-on hop-off bus stop. This is helpful since its a distance to get to the... More

The rooms and elevator are very small. Bathroom even smaller but worst part is the location. Several sex shoppes across small street from hotel. Neighborhood on drive to hotel is horrible. Felt unsafe and wound up changing hotels. Beware or just stay away. These are not nightclubs they are sex clubs. Not a safe location to walk around at all!

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review. For your information, the area has plenty of good restaurants and bars. We has a room on the second floor on this hotel. The elevator is very small (like a small closet) so it is more convenient to take the stairs. So second floor was ok. Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
