No frills hotel, basic and clean. The people in the reception spoke good english. The room and bathroom were quite small but the shower was spacious enough. Free wifi worked great in the room. 15min on foot from Gare du Nord and velib bikes right in front of the hotel. It was quite far from main sights, but we used...

Simple hotel with just the basic facilities you need. We spent two nights there and we actually didn't need much more. The location is perfect and the street is not noisy at all. A place to stay for 50€/night.

Stayed one night in 2015. the staff was very helpful and spoke english. the overall hotel is old, slightly run down. my room was small, in the back with no view. i only used the room for sleeping. but the room and bed was clean! my main priority. the bathroom also was refurbished and clean. no noise. very close to...

For less than 50 Euros/night I doubt we could find something better in such a good location: quite central and a few steps from the Metro-station. The room was small but comfortable and quiet at night...Well during the day we didn't spend time over there, too busy exploring wonderful Paris.

The hotel has a serious noise issue. OK, it's a basic place - relatively centrally located, simple small room, nothing posh - just a place to stay when you just want to spend a couple of days in Paris. There's nothing to be reviewed but the quality of sleep - and it's horrible. 2 out of 3 nights we could...

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Cannot believe this is a 2 star hotel. Def a candidate for 3 stars in my opinions. I have stayed at 2 star hotels before and this place exceeds the service a 2 star provides. It is neatly tucked away in the very busy areas of Paris. A hidden gem if one would...

We stayed in a double bed in Hotel d'Enghien for three nights - and by writing "for three nights", I do only mean the nights. We didn't spend time there during the daytime, we were busy discovering the city. Therefore, d'Enghien is a good location. Next tourist-bus and Metro-station are only a few metres away, and so are a cinema,...

We reserved a three person room for a week on June/July when it was so hot in Paris that people were actually dying. There is no air conditioner in the room but we brought our own which proved to be a very wise move. As rooms usually in Paris, even without the A/C nor refrigerator, this one was also quite...

This may have been the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The door to the room and to the bathroom cleared the bed by mere inches. The elevator was broken so we had to walk to the 4th floor (not a big deal for us but some people would not like it). That said we were received by a...

The location was good. Walking distance to most places, restaurants, viewing points, metro etc. Staff was nice and helpful. We stayed at the top floor and the elevator broke the first day of our stay. The personal did not fix it under our stay, which was a little bit negative. But to sum it up, the hotel is a good...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
