Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. However the rooms are tiny and you can barely fit in the bathroom. The walls are also paper thin so you hear ever coming and going from the adjacent rooms. The beds are also quite hard and the pillows are very thin. But if you want a cheap clean room to use as a base...

All the people at the front desk were helpful and spoke English. They provide a breakfast for 10 Euros but there are cafes and bistros within walking distance that have much better choices. The hotel is a ten minute walk to the metro and the neighborhood is quiet. The rooms are very small but well maintained and clean, you're in...

We stayed at the Timhotel Palais Royal Louvre for one night in September. It was our first time in Paris and we loved the Timhotel. The staff was so friendly and even though we couldn't check in because our room wasn't ready, they took care of my luggage so we could site see. The hotel is little and has a...

The position was good, just few minute from the metro. Rooms are too small but who 's care, people have just to sleep into the rooms. The staff Of the hotel was miserable, not very friendly and not well educated, very very rude AND THEY DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH....WHAT A SHAME!!!! But I have to say that the room was very...

The hotel seems to have gone through a renovation recently. The carpets in the hall were new and so were the walls. Our room was plain and the carpet was worn. The bed looked worn but was actually fine. The bathroom was a little sketchy. Only one little light worked and there was no shower - only a tub. I...

My wife and I just returned to Toronto after 4 weeks in Europe, where we stayed at many hotels and we can say without hesitation that the TimHotel Louvre was the worst by far. Besides location this hotel has nothing to offer. The room we got (408) was very tiny, smelly and noisy. the double bed was against a corner...

Situated on a quite street, this is a great base to access by foot most of the attractions in Paris, only 5 minutes from the Lourve via the Palais Royal. Staff were helpful and friendly who all spoke English, but quite prepared to listen to my pathetic attempts at French. Rooms cleaned daily, but a little small especially the shower....

My wife and I recently returned from Paris. We chose to stay at the Timhotel Palais Royal Louvre. This hotel is convenient and economically priced. If your plans are to hit the Louvre, Musee D'orsay and shop in the Maris district, The Timhotel is perfect for your stay. It's a 10 minute walk to the Louvre and several Metro stops...

My husband and I spent four nights at this hotel in September 2006. I booked the hotel for 101 euro/night including breakfast through the Hotel Reservation Service (HRS) website. This was a great rate considering our visit was scheduled during the Paris trade show season. The hotel is easy to locate if you are arriving via the RER B from...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
