Small room was very small (especially the shower), but fine for one person. Hotel is literally just above the Metro. Not many shops nearby, though. Wifi was very slow. Staff was friendly and can communicate fine in English.

Excellent hotel. Very close to the metro and the station. Bars and cafes close by. The reception staff were VERY helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English... 5 stars to them. The breakfast is continental and offers an excellent selection. 8 of us stayed in different room types and we all agreed it was a good and VERY clean. The...

We stayed here for 4 nights using it as our base for our first visit to beautiful Paris. Check-in was an absolute breeze and the hotel itself, while small, suited our needs perfectly. Conveniently located near a metro/RER/rail station (Austerlitz), it was ideal for exploring Paris. The hotel is clean, modern and the beds are super comfortable. We tried the...

This was the second time in that hotel. Last time before booking I read many negative comments about rooms but I reserved it for its location and I was surprised when I went because I found that comments were little bit wrong. Although it was a family room, It was small but it was accepted anyway and what compensate it...

Out stay at the hotel from Oct 13-17 was great!!! Thank you so much Roseu you were exceptionally helpful and kind. Only one thing though try to get a "privelege" room for more space. I will definitely come back and stay at this hotel. Also the location is in front of the train station which made it so convenient to...

I was in room 104 on 17th Oct. Bitten to bits by mosquitoes and killed a bug on the lovely white bed at 01:30. Last time I was bitten like this was in Bangladesh. Here is the hotel manager's reply: Mr Urquhart, I read your mail with some surprise. I understand mosquitoes may be inconvenient but as the surroundings of...

For a budget price I was really happy with the hotel. The Comfort room was of good size with a comfortable bed and good shower. Location was great arriving at the train station and having a limited stay in Paris. Food places all around. Would stay here again and recommend. For the price, 77 Euro's I think it was excellent...

This hotel is basic but comfortable. The air con and showers both work well. The rooms are small, we were upgraded to a bigger one but I dread to imagine the size of our original 'cosy room'. The staff are not overly friendly but we found this to be the general trend of Paris. Location was good for what we...

Nice stay, nice room with air conditioning, warmfull staff, just in face of the Austerlitz train station (so a lot of public transportation for visiting Paris). 10 minutes from the Notre-Dame Cathedral by walk. Grocery and pharmacy at the corner.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.

“The room is naturally very cramped, and not where one would want to spend a lot of time relaxing. But as simply a place to sleep for one person needing to do things in that part of Paris, it is a very convenient and economical hotel.”
