we stayed one night due to the proximity of the hotel to our event. the room was barely big enough to hold the bed. the mattress was lopsided on one side. neither of the lamps above the bed worked. and worst of all, both the bedroom and bathroom had a patio door to the outside, neither of which locked! anybody...

We just returned from our Paris trip. Stayed here together with my 14 year old daughter. It's dated hotel with small room and very strange placed stuff inside the room. It was clean, but furniture and bed quite old. Only one electric plug in the room(?) and I could feel that the floor is going downhill. We had a laugh...

I was very disappointed in this hotel. You think Paris you think Glamour, even for cheap hotel. This hotel is VERY OLD to the point where we only had ONE electric output in the room and it was the lamp so we couldn't charge our our laptop or phones. Nothing near the bed. The room was small, bed was uncomfortable....

As a 21 year old female travelling alone in Paris for the first time you could imagine I was slightly worried about where to stay, how to get around and having somewhere comfortable to come back to. Upon arriving I had some trouble with booking as my email was wrong in the trip advisor app. The man behind the desk...

Perfectly adequate room. Very centrally located. Restaurants and shops all around. Enjoyed our one night stay. Very short walk to train station. Loved the subterranean setting of the dining room for breakfast. Staff was efficient. Had free use of a computer in the main hallway.

We spent a total of 7 days in this hotel, 5 at the start of a trip and 2 at the end. The front desk staff in my opinion are what brought this hotel from average, to very good. They delivered a number of time saving and cost saving tips to myself, and the 2 other people who formed my...

To start with the good points, the hotel is near two metro stations, the train station and many eating places/cheap supermarkets. The room was basic (very small-didn't look like the photos) but clean. We found the staff quite unhelpful, particularly the kitchen staff during breakfast. The breakfast selection was incredibly sparse with no mugs or spoons available, and the coffee...

Do not stay here. It is the perfect place if you are considering suicide. Does not feel safe. Doors and windows do not lock. Fridges and showers filthy with mould. No curtains at windows (if you are lucky enough to have daylight !). Reception staff unhelpful. Wifi not working . Area grotty.Generally c**p. stay here at your peril !!! We...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
