You may feel little uncertain about your selection when you arrive at the entrance by the alley. However, such impression will be disappeared very soon when you step forward to the lobby & your room!! "Yes, this is a 4 star hotel." We selected this hotel from the list offered by our travel agency considering the score in Tripadvisor, price... More

We went over christmas to this really nice well maintained hotel. The staff was nice and professional, especially Nicolas and the bar tender Sahib? The rooms are nice and the bathrooms are deluxe. We had our breakfasts as part of the plan and they were just ok, they were slow to replace what was on the buffet so it wouldn't be... More

I was booked into this hotel as part of a package. The staff is so polite they stand when you enter the lobby. The lobby is sumptuous and my room looked like a picture from a magazine -- french furniture, marble topped dresser, fabric covered walls, a huge marble bath. The buffet breakfast is excellent -- lots of fresh fruit,... More

we stayed at the Victoria Palace Hotel on the 4th November 2009 for 3 nights to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival our case was swiftly taken by Sebastian and we were warmly welcomed (in English by the way). I had previously e-mailed the Hotel to ask if they could book a table at 58 Tour Eiffel for an... More

Very "Paris". The whole hotel looks like it was from the victorian era. It is small, but very quiet. The staff speaks english well, and are very friendly. Everyone smiled a lot.

What a gorgeous, charming French hotel located on the left bank of Paris , surrounded by wonderful cafes, restaurants and shops. The staff were all extremely friendly, courteous, fluent in English and only too happy to help me with my very minimal French . The breakfasts were delightfully French, fresh fruit, fluffy scrambled eggs, ham, cheeses, croissants, pastries and breads of... More

We stayed at the Victoria Palace for about a week. It is located on a quiet street tucked away from the hustle and noise of the main streets of Paris. The hotel only has 66 rooms which makes your stay less rushed. Fewer people mean more attention to each guest which is exactly what you receive during your stay. The... More

Charming is the word that comes to mind when describing this hotel. The rooms are spacious, which we were not expecting. We had 2 balconies, which were great. There was turn down service with chocolates. The rooms were clean and well appointed. I suppose one could say that the wallpaper was overdone, but we thought it was charming. The breakfasts... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
