We bid/won this hotel via Priceline, with the criteria being that it was a 4-star hotel. While the hotel was nice, there is no way that it was truly 4 stars. There were numerous deficiencies: trash under the bed, hair in the shower drain, no washcloths, no mattress pad on our bed, etc. However, the worst issue with our room...

I was in Europe for two weeks in early May and spent 3 nights at the Melia Alexander with a friend from May 3rd to May 6th. I got the hotel through Priceline and was extremely concerned after reading many of the negative reviews. After emailing them I learned that only one of the 6 floors floors still allowed smoking....

I stayed in this hotel over the May bank holiday with my girlfreind and i have to say we were totally impressed with it. We booked it through a last minute website, and knew it was a 4 star hotel but didnt know what to expect. When we arrived, it was late at night, and was only a 10 minute...

We got the hotel room from Priceline. 4-star close to Champs-Elysee, we were very hopeful. I was traveling with my wife and my young daughter. At check-in time, we were told that the room we booked from Priceline was no good. It was their policy that we had to upgrade to a bigger room since there were 3 people, no...

Nice hotel in a great location in the Champs-Elysee district. Really helpfull staff and the room was way better than our expectations having booked it as part of a last minute deal. Very big room with a gorgeous bathroom, garden view is a bit dubious but was set in a quiet street and the room was always clean. Even got...

I stayed at this hotel in April, 2010 with a small tour group from the US. This was my first trip to Europe and Paris, although I have traveled extensively in other areas. I had a lovely room which was very clean and quiet. A friend had a room on the top floor which had a view of the Eiffel...

I've stayed in 9 different 4 star hotels in 9 different cities in the past 8 months. Boston, New York, New Orleans, Austin, Seattle, Chicago, Niagra Falls, two 4 star hotels in Zurich, Switzerland and in Paris I was unlucky enough to be put into the Melia Alexander Boutique Hotel. I have never wrote a negative review about any hotel...

The hotel is very well located. The rooms are spacious, but a bit run down. The staff does not come accross as friendly at all. The price\quality is reasonable in parisian standards.

The only positive point is the location. Extremely expensive. Small room, average bathroom with average amenities. Was terribly disappointed and will never go back.

We are frequent visitors to Paris and have stayed in a number of different hotels. We chose the Melia Alexander for a long weekend over the August Bank Holiday as our current favourite was prohibitively expensive. We weren't disappointed with our choice. The hotel is in a very quiet part of Paris, towards Neuilly and the Bois de Boulogne, so...
