Ah...Paris... well I'm an American, so straight to the point, rooms are small in Europe. This one was reasonable at least we had room between the end of the bed and the wall. The bathroom was also very small. We had a taxi ride from the airport to the hotel, this was a good idea it's quite a long trip...

Hotel has quite a good location, not far away from Gare du Nord, Boulevards and Montmartre. We stayed two nights in a triple room. The room was big enough for the three of us, it had two windows (to gaps between buildings -> view directly to other hotel rooms!) and it was clean. Breakfast was also above average (compared to...

I booked this hotel via Air Miles, having found a hotel and area I wanted, then checking for reviews by web searching the hotel name. While I was there the staff were helpful and it is great having 24 hour service. A decent continental breakfast selection (though more fruit would be nice). The single room was small (not designed for...

We stayed here in August 2006 for three nights. Although the room was a little small, this is to be expected with Paris. The room was clean and well furnished and the bathroom was a good size and spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel is fantastic, close to Cadet metro station and only a short walk to Montmatre. The...

We got good rates for this hotel as we booked it as part of a package along with Eurostar train tickets from London return. The hotel is about 1.2KM from the Gard du Nord, our train got in at 2115 and we walked to the hotel. Very good location, it was only a few minutes to the closest metro station...

I stayed here for three nights and the staff were friendly and courteous at all times. Having stayed in Paris many times, this is a distinct bonus and is not the norm! The hotel is in a very pretty area with plenty of cafes and restaurants close by as well as being very near to the metro. The guest rooms...

This hotel was pretty and intimate in a cute sidestreet opposite a synagogue. When I say intimate, the room was kind of cramped, not a big deal but considering there was no room to move or even to put our bags the price was very high, much higher than we paid elsewhere in Europe. Bathroom & shower very good. No...

The location is the thing,... and the breakfast. We chose the hotel because we knew we could hoof it from Opera Metro station, where the Roissybus from CDG airport stops and picks up, to the hotel with our two rolling bags. (Buying a "Paris Visite" 5-zone Metro pass-at the airport gare-includes transportation on the Roissybus as well as all metro...

I wouldn't recommend for first time visitors or for a tres romantic getaway, but if you are somewhat familar with Paris its a good value for the price.(don't pay rack rate, only if you get a deal) The staff is friendly, rooms could use a little spiffing up but the bathrooms are nice, breakfast adequate though only one server was...

For a basic, but clean and comfortable stay, I would recommend this hotel to travellers not deterred by absence of romance or luxury, but attracted by value for money, location and attentive service. I stayed 3 nights here on a break with my mother in July, and while I have only rated it average, we both found it fine, pleasant...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
