Very happy with the accommodations, our room was on the 6th floor, with a small balcony. Very clean. Staff is very friendly and even provide us all with umbrellas for our rainy day in Paris. Only complaint is that the dining room is tiny, and...More
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here at the Hotel Touraine Opera. There were just a few things (niggles) that I had. We were in room 1 on the ground floor, and as a previous review states, you can hear/slightly feel the metro. This...More
This lovely hotel with pleasant, welcoming and helpful staff was a really good base for exploring the city. We found it to be 15/20 minutes walk to the Louvre, 10 minutes to Saint Lazare train station (for direct train to Versailles) and 5 minutes to...More

The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in
another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
