Detailed Reviews
Travelling with kids I wanted a safe, easy location in Paris, and this was perfect! Central to all the major sights and within easy walking distance to many. Close to a Metro. It is on a main street, but not noisy as the rooms are well insulated, and windows have blackout curtains. I didn't hear any noise from other guests. Beds were comfy and tea/coffee/bottled water replenished daily. Staff are super-helpful and speak excellent English. The room was kept clean, breakfast was great and had plenty on offer (even when we were late getting down there!). Very nice restaurants just 2 mins away and some little supermarkets and bakery shops and take aways. Plenty of places to sit with a drink or two in the evening.
If you are travelling in the summer, check out the Nuit aux Invalides, really impressive light/historical show (bring something to sit on or pay extra to book with a chair) - lovely to be in the open air in the evening, late for kids, but only 5 mins walk back to hotel after. Streets around felt totally safe after dark. Also recommend Aquaboulevard (5 stops away on one Metro line) for anyone who likes swimming... make it a day trip to escape "culture"!! Waves, slides, water rafting, outside beach in summer months, plenty for kids, but also relaxing spaces for grown ups. Boys/men need to wear speedo style trunks, not Bermuda style shorts.
Great little hotel! Thank you for helping us discover Paris!!

I chose Timhotel Invalides Eiffel for its perfect location in the 7th arrondissement, and it didn't disappoint. Just a 1-minute walk from Les Invalides, 6 minutes from the Eiffel Tower, and 3 minutes from the charming pedestrian street Rue Cler, this hotel is a gem for exploring Paris. Having lived in this district for two years, I can attest to its tranquil atmosphere, abundance of restaurants, and authentic Parisian culture.
I stayed for a total of six days - three with my daughter and three alone. The room was comfortable for one or two people, but I wouldn't recommend it for three due to its compact size.
Let's be clear: this isn't the Grand Hotel Intercontinental, George V, or Plaza Athénée. It's a simple, no-frills hotel with friendly staff, ideal for those who plan to spend their days out exploring the city. The rooms are small but impeccably clean, with surprisingly spacious bathrooms. The breakfast buffet is basic but sufficient to start your day.
One thing to note: the front desk manager also serves as a concierge, but their assistance is limited to basic guidelines about Paris. They won't make reservations or handle complex tasks for you. It's best to plan ahead and organize any reservations or special arrangements yourself before your stay.
If you're looking for a luxurious hotel experience where you'll spend lots of time, this isn't the place. However, if you want a clean, comfortable bed in an unbeatable location at a very fair price, Timhotel Invalides Eiffel is perfect. It's a great base for immersing yourself in Parisian life and culture.
In summary: excellent location, clean rooms, friendly staff, and fair pricing. Ideal for solo travelers or pairs who prioritize exploring Paris over hotel amenities. Just remember to plan your activities and reservations in advance.

Dear Raulbaz, Yhank you very much for taking the time to leave us such a detailled and accurate comment. Indeed, we are not a palace but we do our best to welcome and inform our customers. We are here to make our guests' stay as pleasant as possible but we do not organize their stay for them since we do not have a dedicated concierge service. We are delighted to see that you appreciated the location of our hotel and the cleanliness of our rooms. We hope to see you again during your next stay Kind regards,

TimHotel invalides Eiffel was a perfect location for us, the street is quiet and safe and close to cafes for lovely dinners. It is walking distance to Napoleon's tomb and military museum. The Eiffel tower is a 15 min walk. The staff are very helpful, shout out to Tsering she was wonderful. The rooms are small and dated but the beds are very comfy and the Hotel is clean. The elevator is very very small max 2 persons with small luggage. Breakfast is available for a fee, a computer is also available if needed. Over all our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. Its not the Ritz, but its a great place to lay your head.

First of all, I wish to say that the location of the hotel is superb, there will be very few others that will match it in terms of quick access to and from the city. The staff were very friendly and happy to help.
However, the whole place is tired and outdated. From the tiny elevator to the bright red walls and doors which need some painting. Our first room the Aircon (although worked) was incredibly loud that we couldn’t sleep. We asked to move room, the noise Aircon was only marginally better. We got moved to the downstairs 4 person room. The toilet/shower room attached to this room has the strangest structure and format whereby if you had a shower you would soak the floor (making it dangerous) the sink and all the other bathroom furnishings.
Overall, this was not a disastrous visit however the premises are incredibly outdated and not well maintained. Although the location is fantastic (and the staff provide a service which is of an expectation standard) the extortionate price is not worth it.

Dear Nathaniel, Thank you for taking the time to give a feedback. First of all, we are pleased that you enjoyed our location and found our staff friendly and helpful. We apologize for the issues you encountered with the noisy aircon in the first room, as well as for the "outdated facilities" and the "strange layout" of the bathroom, which is in fact an accessible bathroom. Nonetheless, a refurbishment of the hotel is actually considered, that would maybe get rid of the red paint. As for the rates, the time of the Olympics was a very busy time, and the rates were higher than usual. We hope that you enjoyed your stay in Paris despite these minor inconveniences, and we look forward to welcoming you again in the future, A bientôt peut être,

The hotel was easy to find and we had an easy check in. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The elevator is quite small, holds only 3 people and less with suitcases. The hotel kindly met my request for a room with a balcony. The room has air conditioning. It has a dresser, wardrobe, writing desk, two bedside tables and a TV (which we did not use). Not a lot of extra room in the room, but adequate. The bathroom had a tub/shower combo and a little "dresser" in there as well. The is a kettle and a coffee maker with supplies as well as a couple of bottles of water. It was cleaned every day. We did not have breakfast here, so cannot comment on that. It is more "old world feel" which I like in Europe. If you like modern, this is not the place for you. There is a small reception area with a small bar and very small courtyard. The location was excellent, with many restaurants and metro station near by.
Overall, I was very happy with our stay.

I chose the hotel due to its location and the pictures of the rooms looked quite nice, the location was great, but the pictures of the rooms are a little flattering.
The welcome and the check in was great, and being told we had been upgraded to the "Club Room" was great, but the actual rom was tatty and grubby.
The toilet / shower off the lounge was a little small, but ok, the beds adequate, but that would be about it. There are no English TV channels, coffee and tea making facilities, but no fresh milk.
The free Wifi was very good at 31 MBS.
The breakfast was typically French and perfectly adequate, but the bar is a can only bar and no wine.
Would I stop there again, not really, a bit grubby for me, but a great location.

Dear Steve5839, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We're pleased to hear that you appreciated our great location, the warm welcome, and the check-in experience. However, we're sorry to learn that your stay did not fully meet your expectations. We apologize for the condition of your room and will address your concerns regarding cleanliness and maintenance with our housekeeping team. We strive to present our rooms accurately, and it's disappointing to hear that you found the pictures to be misleading. We took stock with our cleaning team to identify the problems and thus ensure that this does not happen again. Regarding the English TV channels, this problem has been known for several days and we insist with the intervening company that it intervene as soon as possible. We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.. We're glad that the free WiFi met your expectations and that you found our breakfast to be adequate. We do not have fresh milk in the rooms but we have milk capsules on our courtesy trays. These are renewed every day and are available on request at reception. Your comments about the bar have been noted, and we will look into enhancing our offerings to better serve our guests. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope you'll give us another chance to provide you with a better experience in the future. Best regards, Bertrand - Executive assistant

The price was great. The staff was friendly. The location was perfect. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a convenient, affordable, and clean place to stay in Paris. The neighborhood offered boutique shops close by which were far superiors to the shops in major tourists areas.

We visited Paris for the Olympics and chose this hotel, somewhat randomly really but it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel is fine, if a little dated. It was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy and all the staff on reception were really lovely and helpful.
The location was absolutely perfect for us, about 10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower, about 5 minutes form the Seine and about 2 minutes from the Metro, with great links all over Paris.
It is close to a busy area chock full of nice restaurants and bars but not in a bad way, there was no noise or anything to disturb you, just a great choice.
I would stay again.

My wife and I stayed at the Timhotel for 4 nights while in Paris and we had a fantastic experience. The front desk staff was absolutely amazing. They were very helpful, communicative and went above and beyond to support us with anything that we needed. The location was great and gave you a break from the busy Eiffel Tower since it’s about 15 by Tram. The area had lots of cafes and restaurants which was great. The rooms can be a little tight but still comfortable with exceptional service. Would recommend to stay at this hotel!

The courtyard was not available while we were there. It in the lobby were under construction in October 2019.
Sorry, when i was there we only used the shower. I don't remember the tub being slippery but it was over a year ago for me now.
RER (line B) into town and Metro - Tour Maubourg is the closest stop, but Invalides is also close. It is super easy.
Just saw this on another TA forum:
The directions are great but I can see a less tiring option, and a much nicer way to arrive in Paris i.e overground and spotting Sacre Coeur and the Eiffel tower etc as you get close to the city. Take Roissybus to Opera where everyone gets out. At the front of the Opera the Metro entrance is across the road. You can get on to Line 8 from there which will bring you directly to La Tour Maubourg.
