We stayed here in Feb for 3 nights. Had everything you need, nice and clean, comfy bed and minutes away from metro which was so handy. There's also some restaurants and bars close by so I'd say this location was brilliant for us, they kindly let us keep our bags at the hotel after we had checked out as we...

The property was just one minute walking distance from the MRT which is such a great advantage. There are different restaurants offering vivid cuisines in very close proximity to the property. There are separate shopping areas. The great part is, many key Paris attractions are just few MRT stations away. It does not take a long time to travel. The...

This hotel is a great choice if you are on a budget. Located in a quiet street at the heart of the Latin quarter, and just 30 seconds to the Metro station. But there is more ...coffe shops, restaurants, groceries shop all within a seconds reach. Also the hotel is located within 3 minutes from the famous Rue de Mouffetard...

I stayed in this hotel for a night. The hotel located in really good location, 2 mins walk to the metro. The streets are quiet and beautiful. Check in process was quick and staff was helpful to let me check in before the original time (2pm ) Im looking forward to having an other chance to stay in Maxim.

Good location , friendly helpful staff. Room like a shoe box with paper thin walls but ok for one night. Lots of restaurants near by and receptionist gave good recommendations. A long walk from the metro so get a taxi.

Perfecct location in the Latin Quarter. Close to shops, restaurants, metro and a terrific street market. The rooms need renovating. They feel tired and the dark painted walls are chipped and scratched. The bathrooms are large for a small, inexpensive Paris hotel, with tub and shower. The service is excellent, so all in all if you can look past the...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
