Stayed there for 5 days. They were doing renovations while we were staying. Friendly staff, although they were different people on almost all the 5 days we stayed. Breakfast staff was very lovely! Reasonably clean rooms. Had a "deluxe" room first which was a dark (but large), damp and noisy room. Room 109, ground floor. Bathroom and bedroom had the... More

My teenage son and I stayed at Nouvel Hotel in early July. We loved the hotel. Although we are used to large American hotel rooms, we had two connected rooms with separate baths and it was perfect. The rooms were nicely decorated and we especially enjoyed the courtyard to eat or just relax. Although it was very hot when we... More

We had two adjoining rooms on the front. It was small but comfortable. The hotel is not air conditioned, so there was some noise from leaving the windows open. But the location is in a relatively quiet street, set back from the Place de la Nation. The courtyard is a nice oasis for having a breakfast, lunch or snack. There... More

Too thin walls, I could hear everything from room next to mine... Small rooms, by the way. It has some old romantic feeling, but price/value ratio is not very good. You can find better deals in the area. Breakfast is nice but with limited choice of food.

2 star hotel with 3-4 star service. Un bijou of a garden! We found this charming little hotel by chance. Friendly service and an oasis of a garden, quite rare in Paris. Child-friendly. Rooms are small, but clean with a pseudo-Laura Ashley look. The bathroom was tiny but well equipped. Well situated, v. close to the metro. Wld stay here... More

We moved to the Nouvel from another hotel in the neighborhood that was not quiet nor attractive. For a few dollars more, we had an absolutely exquisite, spotless room overlooking the completely silent garden. Careful! If you leave your window open, the birds will wake you up with their chirping! The kindest, friendliest reception we could have hoped for from... More

Hotel Nouvel in Paris is a quaint and comfortable stay in a city that doesn't always feel very comfortable for an "outsider". It is DIRECTLY off of the "Nation" tube entrance which means you can get anywhere in short order. There are many cafes and even a market on your street. It's one of the few places that would room 3... “Ask for courtyard view. The hotel is close to a pub, but a few hundred feet away with no other stores around. So it's not too noisy anyway..but if you like quiet rooms, always be sure if any hotel you stay in has a room that faces towards the back, or towards a courtyard.”

“Upper level "family room" with two adjoining rooms was very much enjoyed by us. AC is not as typical in Paris as in U.S., and this hotel didn't have it. The rooms faced the street, and we would crack the windows at night for some air circulation so as a result we could hear some street sounds. For the most part, street sounds were completely reasonable for sleeping. I really enjoyed looking out the window and seeing typical French architecture across the street.”
