My room started to smell like a sewer, as the smell got worst I went to the front desk to ask to change rooms, they said they would get back to me within the hour. I went back to the front desk 3 hours later and they informed me they knew nothing about it. So I stated my concerns again and was told to remove my luggage and was told to wait in the lobby for 3-4 hours. I am not impressed with the service I have received once I had an issue.

No service, want a poor quality hotel with rude staff and no service the this is the place. Late check ins and rude staff. Called for assistance with my Aircon and was told I’ll come when I ready. Gotta be better deals. Encountered guests in the lobby complaining of smelly rooms.

Very tired apartment and not very clean. Parking is 30 euro per day and difficult to locate in a city that is unfamiliar. We had no electricity on our room for a complete evening until the next morning and they will not compensate us which is not good. the concept is good but in reality not a great experience.

Wonderful apartment hotel. Unbeatable location. Friendly, helpful and pleasant staff from front of house, to manager and cleaners. Simple elegant classic Parisian decor. Clean facilities. I was upgraded to a room which had nice wooden floors (the manager accommodated my request after I flagged that my room did not look like the photo on the website). Next time, I think I will book a room with views of La Seine :) Price was great as well (I booked way in advance of course haha) and I think this would be great value for families as well :)

Essentially a no-frills hotel in an excellent location, staffed by a wonderfully friendly and helpful team. Rooms are practical and well-equipped for self-catering. It’s not luxurious but it doesn’t pretend to be, and comes highly recommended.

great location Rooms are very basic - looks nothing like the photos just wood everywhere... You have to collect your own towels and ask for your room to be cleaned. breakfast isn't good, but your in a good location to go our for breakfast

We stayed in this hotel in 2018 and loved it - the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the breakfast was good value and the location was amazing. When returning to Paris this year, we made the specific decision to stay at the Citadines again, despite the price having increased by almost 50%. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We arrived in Paris at 11am and dropped our luggage at the hotel. We were told that our room was empty and would be available prior to the usual check in time of 3pm. We waited until after 4pm and no one was able to explain what the delay was. Several staff members were unhelpful and rude. It eventually became apparent that our room had never been cleaned and we were moved to another room. Another family in the foyer had the same experience. Our room had satisfactory amenities but everything was dirty, old and worn. None of the floors had been vacuumed and there was dust everywhere. There were holes in the bathroom floor and much of the room required a basic upgrade and maintenance. The beds were rock hard and we had sore backs every morning. Obviously, the location was still amazing and all of the major sights and public transport were readily accessible. There are also lots of restaurants and shops just down Rue Dauphine. However, we would be unlikely to pay so much money for an apartment in such poor condition and such a difficult check in process again. …

It is really the worst experience i have ever had in all my life . I don’t recommend citadines saint germain by any means for so many reasons First the lights of the room are making noise once turned on ; all their answer was keep it off to avoid the noise . After they checked the room and admitted the problem one of the reception told us we can switch to another available room in sometime . So we went out and after getting back they told us no room will be changed . Although they know that we are honeymooners they didn’t want to help . Second thing is that there is NO room service . No towels are changed and NO bedsheets are changed for 6 days . The toilet is too small . Pictures are not as reality The hotel is deteriorated.

As of this review in July 2023, major renovation has begun so my rating may be invalid once the work is done. In my opinion, this should not be marketed as a hotel but instead as a nice youth hostel. The look and feel is highly reminiscent of a 1990’s college coed dormitory. During the hour or so we waited in the lobby to find a new hotel, we saw dozens of college kids come and go and only one adult couple. The rooms and furniture were dilapidated. As soon as we saw this place’s condition, we cancelled our reservation and found a beautiful boutique hotel nearby for only about 20% more. This place is surrounded by loud, congested roads but is in a great location for sightseeing as it faces the Seine and is just a short walk from attractions the Louvre and Notre Dame.

First stay in this property with family, 2 rooms for 5 nights. Asked my credit card when check in which I thought it will just swiped for my deposit, the staff actually charged the full amount of the stay which is rather strange to me for international hotel chain. Then the Front Desk staff telling me, the whole property will have no electricity from 0100-0500 and I actually have scheduled work meeting in that late hours. The way I was communicated was strange and I just felt being treated dishonestly. I causally asked why this wasn’t communicated before, as my booking was made a few months ago. The Staff just told me she doesn’t understand why I had such question and I could talk to her manager 9am in the morning. Doesn’t Citadines has the role of Duty Manager? About the room….I know Paris could be expansive, for EUR415/night, a simple room facing another building’s wall just a bit hard to swallow. Tried to ask for a room change. “Sorry, we are full now”. Glad that at least I got a firm reply and no need to wait till 9am to talk to the “Manager”.…
