Good location, but rooms very tired and in need of updating. Changed bed sheets only every 3 nights, bathroom in poor condition, no turndown, and all this for only 300 euro...what a bargain??????????? Agree with earlier review on staff, found exactly the same, old guy at reception terrible and grumpy, but young chap helpful. Far better value elsewhere, try Odeon...

Beautiful, quaint hotel. The St Germain de Pres area beautiful to walk through. Lovely breakfast room. Our only complaint was initial older gentleman at reception- very unfriendly, not even a greeting when he sees you. Blondine, a lovely member of staff, who fixed my airconditioning was great. The younger gentleman at reception on our departure was very kind and courteous....

I read all of these reviews and spent the extra to book based on the reviews. It is still a Best Western even if they put Premier in front of it. It is missing the charm of the local Parisian Hotels. It still smells of the smoke that used to exist in the rooms. The beds were comfortable and large,...

We enjoyed our stay and would return (if we got a discount rate). Typical european hotel (don't let the "best western" name confuse you) with stacked floors and tiny elevator (as a family, several of us would walk up/down the stairs). Front desk staff helped us with dinner reservations, taxis, etc. Breakfast buffet (included in our price) was typically french...

Our one night stay here was great. The staff was very helpful, the room was very comfortable, the breakfast was tasty, and the St. Germain neighborhood was very fun to walk around and explore. There are several world-famous cafes within a few blocks of the hotel. The Eiffel tower was pretty far away but the Louvre and Notre Dame were...

Stayed in room 602 which I booked special because I wanted to look out at the Cafes and the Church and the rooftops, and the room also had 2 big windows with french doors(plus it was a superior room and it fit my budget better). Its on the top floor so it had the romantic mansard roof which added alot...

Loved this hotel, Libania was helpful in every regard, front row tickets to concerts, great suggestions and always with a wonderful smile. We overlooked St germain which is busy but the room was quiet with windows closed. We chose a deluxe rm and were happy with size, bed and ammenities. Great location, loved "la Petit Zinc" nearby as well as...

My better half had checked out the St. Germain de Pres area on a previous Paris trip so we knew where in Paris we wanted to stay. We booked this hotel for a 9 night stay right at the beginning of May with help from reviews on Trip Advisor and checking out the area via Google Earth. We booked a...

$350 per for a small garret room facing a VERY busy street (all day and all night). Very hot - no AC. Begged for a move away from the front, and all that was available (doubtful) was a triple for a whopping $425 per. This inner courtyard room funneled all the noise upwards - at 5:30AM (!) when the kitchen...

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Great location. Metro right across the street. But, you can walk to everything, with good shoes! We did alot of walking to enjoy the sights. Had fantastic weather Easter weekend. Can't find anything wrong with this hotel. Would definetely recommend it. Loved Paris!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
