The staff was great, but the rooms were insanely small. With our luggage, there was no room to stand. The rooms were so hot, the AC was horrible. One night my cousin slept in the bath tub to stay cool. It was 38 degrees that day. I did not sleep that night at all. It was so hot that I...

The hotel staff were friendly and the location is great. The room itself was extremely dated, with a quite terrible smell and soiled carpets. The wifi was very poor, making it difficult to work remotely. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Very noisy room on main road side of the building. You can hear the conversations in the room next door an guests walking on the corridor. On top of that the bins were emptied just outside the hotel and this woke me up on both mornings!!! Room was so tiny, we could hardly move when we dropped cases on the...

The Ambassade was definitely good value for money. Great location. Good wifi speed. Our room was not noisy at all as the hotel is located in a quiet street. Room was clean, although quite small. The shower and bathroom is very small. This hotel is ideal for a stay up to one week if you plan to be outside your...

My boyfriend booked this hotel as a treat for my 21st birthday and for our first holiday away together. The hotel is in a great location, about 5 minutes from the Arc de Triomph and about 10-15 minutes to the Eiffel Tower so it was perfect for us! Although the rooms are small (and the bathroom is cupboard size!) it...

We booked this hotel through a Priceline auction, so we didn't know beforehand which hotel we were getting. This place was perfectly fine, especially for the price we paid (about $85/night with taxes & fees). Location was great - 5-min walk to the Arc de Triomphe, 10-15 mins to the Eiffel Tower, metro stop 2 blocks away and other stops...

Yes the rooms are small but that's the standard for most European cities. Bed was comfortable and room was cleaned every day. The front desk personnel was very nice. Didn't take the breakfast option. Bathroom always clean. Working A/C during all of our stay. It is a small property and for us was perfect. If you have more than 2...

This hotel is in an excellent location. It is a short walk to the Arc de Triumph, Champs-Elysées and entrance to the metro. It gets an average rating because the rooms are basic which is all you need when exploring the city. It is clean. The bathroom seemed recently renovated. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint...

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.

“It can get noisy due to people banging doors. No one knows if the person next door is inconsiderate, so there's not much you can do about that. We had a 3rd floor double room and had little noise around.”
