My husband stays at Marriotts when traveling for work so we tend to use them when traveling for leisure using points. We've stayed here several times and have never been disappointed - it's a lovely old building with nice rooms and an easy walk to much of what Paris has to offer.

Nice simple hotel. The rooms are clean and compact but not too small. The wifi reception is it notgreat. You have to keep relogging in to get the signal. Good breakfast but not cheap. The buffet will cost you $29.00. You are better of healing over to one of the many cafes nearby if you are on a budget.

During our 4 night stay on our honeymoon, this hotel may have even exceeded what we've come to expect from Marriott. The location was perfect for us, and the room was immaculate. The service was always eager and helpful. The dinner was a spectacular surprise as well.

My husband and I stayed here for a 5 night vacation. This hotel was great. It has a little but of character (so not a standard Marriott). Yes, rooms are slightly tight, elevators are small but that is to be expected in a city/Paris. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a slightly larger room. We had a great...

We arrived a little early for check in after a long flight from Seattle, exhausted. It was just about 45 minutes before check in time at 3pm and so we expected to wait a few minutes. We were told originally by the gentleman at the desk that it would be about 30-45 minutes and that was just fine. Since we...

My room was big and extremely comfortable, the staff I found to be friendly and helpful, but drinks prices were extreme. €25 for a glass of champagne and a coke was just over the top. The location is fairly central to the sights.

While not terribly grand, compared to Versailles, this hotel delivers comfortable and spacious rooms, great access to the city, and friendly service. Pros: room size, access to metro and central shopping district, comfortable executive lounge, good wifi, nice folks, lovely outdoor seating Cons: prices somewhat high at property restaurants and bars, first floor shut down due to water damage during...

After staying at the Park Hyatt Vendome, I have to say I noticed a significant difference. I was surprise considering the Marriott felt more like a courtyard. :( The bathroom was small and lack any elegance.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
