I had stayed here many years ago, they have updated since then, the rooms are roomy, the bathrooms are so nice with good beauty products, we arrived on the early train from venice, they had our room ready in half an hour, every member of the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable ( it was...

We had booked out hotel through American Express vacations, so I have to say it wouldn't have even been in my radar hat it not been for the fact that I booked a package. But what a great hotel it was! Great location (a block from the Opera and Metro) that's convenient to all of Pairs, a very comfortable bed,...

I was In Paris on a business trip and took a short break after that. We stayed in Hotel Scribe for 4 nights. The hotel lived up to its image and we have nothing but praise for the facilities and staff. The location was great and the wife spent many hours visiting the various stores Printemp, Gallery Lafayette etc. nearby....

We stayed at the Hotel Scribe for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed this five star hotel in Paris. The location is excellent - close to the Opera, Louvre and shopping. The lobby is luxurious, welcoming and is filled with fresh roses. Our room was lovely and had a wonderful view of the city. Our bed was very very comfortable and...

We stayed here for two days. Found the staff helpful and the rooms comfortable. Rooms and bathrooms are small, but that is the norm for Paris. We requested a quiet room and were happy to get one, not o. The street but on an inner courtyard, so no view but we were happy with no noise. Great location, central to...

We stayed at the Scribe Hotel for 4 days. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the main tourist sites (the Louvre, Jardin de Tuileries...), shops and restaurants. Our room (superior standard) and facilities were first class – the bed was so comfortable. The staff were amazingly friendly and efficient - nothing was too much trouble...

An excellent hotel worthy of its 5 * status. We did our marriage ceremony in Paris and were pleasantly surprised by a 1/2 bottle of champagne in our room on our return which was a nice touch. Excellent firm beds , superb central location and very knowledgable concierge team both day and night. We requested certain types and level of...

Hotel Scribe is a lovely hotel in a great location. The staff are very pleasant, always willing to help and give you a warm greeting. Our room was well appointed. It was on the small side but that was quickly overlooked in favor of the plush, over-sized queen size bed, the huge , well covered windows, comfortable chairs, the wall...

This is a gem of a hotel in a great location. The place is pretty and the staff was very helpful. The room was not large but everything was very nice. There were yummy treats left in our room each day. The in room coffee service was fine and they provided complimentary bottled water. And the bed was divine. We...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
