We stayed at this hotel last week and can't fault the staff or the location. The staff had recommended and pre-booked local restaurants for our stay. Any question we had was answered. We will be returning.

Just returned from six terrific nights spent at the Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche. My wife and I had a double room and we booked a single for her mother. This boutique hotel is in a wonderful location on the left bank between the 5th and 6th arrondissements. It's the edge of the Latin Quarter, between the Sorbonne, Cluny Museum,...

I come here every year around this time and find the place giving a family sense of stay in a great location (Near Luxemburg Gardens, Pantheon, Latin Quarter, etc.) near excellent public transportation to airports (RER). Very clean and friendly.

We stayed here for 5 nights in two rooms for my wife, I and three children (21, 19, 17). Location is in a great part of town, close to attractions but off the path a little to make it feel very local. Great restaurants for walking, beautiful Luxembourg gardens and close to metro and train to airport. Hotel very comfortable,...

I've been attending graduate school twice a year in Paris, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere but the Hotel St. Paul. I have my favorite room (not telling), and I bask in the warm, personal service and the lovely breakfasts. I stay for at least 2 weeks, and I always hate to leave. It's my home in Paris! No...

Visited the hotel for two nights in January, it was cold outside but worm and great inside. The service is great and the design is really cool. The breakfast is not the best one in Paris, but there are many places around to compensate :-) I would definitely return.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your recent visit. I am thrilled to read that you liked the design of our recent renovations. Regarding the breakfast, it offers very fresh products :Fruit juices, coffee, tea, expresso, herbal teas, hot chocolate and capuccino, milk, butter, varied jams, honey, assorted breads, “croissants” and buns, cakes, cereals, cheeses, fresh fruit salad, cottage...

We had a lovely time at Hotel Saint Paul. The staff was warm and helpful, breakfast was delicious, and the rooms we well appointed. We had a street facing view and it was quite quiet. We love the room key process -- each time you leave, you leave the room key at the front desk. This prevents you from locking...

We made a last minute decision to spend two nights in Paris. As a family of 4 including 2 teenage daughters it's getting harder to find an affordable room in Europe that accommodates us. Hotel St Paul was perfect. We stayed in a large room w one double plus 2 single beds. It was tight but perfectly efficient. Beds were...

Quaint, Eclectic and Beautiful. Those are the words to describe this hotel's feel, desiration and spirit. It has a great location being seated right at the heart of the action, having ease of access to all destinations and is close to Boulevardes Saint Michel and Saint Germain. Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your fantastic review about your stay with us. As the hotel Sales manager, I have to make a very important point: the best rates are not on Booking.com or other's distributor website but exclusively in the hotel's official website, without any intermediary. Having said that, I totally agree with your review : the...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche belongs to a Franco-British family, hoteliers for 4 generations, who have made the hotel a marriage of French elegance and English comfort. Situated on the line of Paris' former outer wall under Philippe Auguste, this 17th century building was once the home of Franciscan monks. The 31 bedrooms are colourful and range in style from the modern - vibrant flowered fabrics - to the traditional - exposed beams and elegant opaque curtains. There are beamed ceilings, faux ostrich bed-heads, clever corner armoires, even two baldaquin beds beneath the high ceilings of the lower floors. Entirely renovated in 2015, this boutique-hotel is close to everything, in the heart of the action, but in a quiet little street. The Luxembourg gardens vicinity and the so many walking distance sites like the Sorbonne, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Pantheon, Cluny museum and the Louvre, make the Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche a convenient pied-à-terre for enjoying the city. ... more   less
